Well, you knew the 2.1 update wouldn't bring 4 months out of content to do at end-game.

So, I repeat my previous answer because is "technically" the same issue:

I think of it this way. There're 10 Legacy servers VS 45 non-Legacy servers. Legacy players (not all of them) have their character from the 1.0 version of FF XIV. They did the content back then and when they made them start all over again, they let them keep their level and equipment. In a couple of weeks, there're nothing else to do, because all the content created for you was consumed fast because you were already equipped and you already had crafting classes. If you think like that, of those 55 servers, 45 were intended for new players or people who wants to re-roll their characters. You will see that they have still things to do (as myself, I don't think I would get to the next patch with all my equipment/classes/etc). I think the dev team should NOT have let the old players keep their stuff/level/classes. You could have a good montly fee, some items for being cool for paying the whole suscription back then and that's it. I don't care if you start with all your stuff, eventually I will get them too because there's a roof for improvement.

So, as the others said, come back when further content is added. That's the only advice we can give you, since the dev team already has a schedule for the next patches and they won't hurry those things up until everything is optimal. The rest of the users complaining about not having enough things to do, yeah, it might be. I can't tell because I still have things to do and I'm playing since BETA (As a brand new player). If you don't want to quit and you're looking for ideas on what to do: Help random people, chat with friends, help them out, increase your wealth. I don't know. Just good luck.
Gotta love my memory.
