I totally agree with the point if someone is looking in party finder for people who are experienced that you should be courteous and be experienced before joining because it was laid out before hand what is to be expected. The first time runs though with no quota is what I mean in which what I mention still happens, which is a shame. As much as I agree this is an mmo and is definitely a team sport we should be considerate of first timers, and if you are looking for experienced and know every nook and cranny of the dungeon kind of player, make it known when you recruit for it etc, it's very easy to do so.

And to the post above me... ah man that game was epic <3

I get told all the time to "watch a video first." before I go into major fights. But two things: One, I can beat a fight without a video. And two, videos aren't the best way of learning for me. I'm totally a muscle memory person first, and possibly an aural learner second. But videos do ABSOLUTELY nothing for me. That's great if they work for you, but I will pick up quick by doing. I hate when I try to go into a fight and the first thing I'm asked is "Did you watch a video? No. *booted*"

I agree with the premise, but when it comes to the HM and EM primals or Ultima Weapon redux, you might as well just look up some pointers. You're not going to spoil yourself anything that way, story-wise, they're still pretty tricky even if you have a general idea of what's going to happen. Which is only a beefed up version of the easier versions you've done. You will still need to build some routine and practice, and have a good group you can rely on.

In terms of the story and all the pre-endgame content, I think it's ridiculous how people expect newbies to look everything up. For one, they're not that hard, for another, it'll only spoil bits of the story and the learning experiences that are involved in figuring them out.

My final point is that just knowing the fight is nothing after a certain point. Titan HM is a good example of practice making perfect. Just knowing the general order of phases and events in it will not help you win it easily unless you're being carried.
