true, but as we have learned in the past couple days you can't take what SE says about one program and apply it to another 3rd party program (even if it is endorsed, which i think it is cause i remember reading the FFXIV app thing the programmer actually said they had SE rep's say it was ok) because SE goes back on there word so regularly. I mean look at FFXIVapp, the programmer that made it even got the OK by a actual SE rep, and know ppl are getting banned for it.

And depending upon how SE looks at data mining they could come out and say a program that simply looks at data and writes it out in a neat format could be data mining. Hell, a actual person just looking at the dmg output and using a pencil and paper to write it down could be considered data mining to SE.

The obvious solution, therefore, would be to pre-emptively cut off your all fingers.

There are reports from at least one user that got a warning for talking in-game about using a certain "parser". Probably got the warning because he was using it to complain about other players, but nowadays it seems to be more than just a "parser", so I wouldn't risk it.

"At least one user" does not a n argument make. One user can be full of crap. Hvinire says it's OK, then it's OK.
