Let me tell you how stamina, which is awesome for you people pressing 11111, sucks for tanking. A mage takes agro, I need to provoke, but no it won't let me, it's gonna be another 5-10 seconds, then mage goes down and finally provoke activates, great now I have hate again, I hit invigorate to get extra tp, oh now it's not activating and I can't do anything else, mob dies, and finally invigorate activates. Amazing system indeed.

I have to disagree with the OP this system is going to bring a lot of new thinking to the game managing cooldown is something we already do in this game so I don't see the difference with auto-attack and no stamina. Besides that other people have commented on tanking but, it doesn't just end there there are loads of skills in game that could use to their advantage (not jarring strike or any of those since they don't have stamina cost i never saw any reason to complain i manage that just fine) raging strike is no stamina it's one of the biggest reason its so highly valued.

Also I don't think ive ever just stood in combat stance in front of a mob waiting for my stamina to regain to full your wasting time.

    Look, long story short,

They didn't have to remove stamina to add auto attack.

And they don't have to remove physical levels to add class uniqueness/auto stat allocation/making stat points actually work.

Overhauling the system instead of fixing it was a poor choice in my opinion.

But they should be praised for removing stamina as it is a flawed resource management system that gets in the way of battle more than it encourages strategy. If the majority of the players don't like stamina because we are somehow "doing it wrong", then that is a telling indicator of the design flaws inherent in the system. Don't blame the players. Blame the crappy design.

Functionally, stamina worked in a similar fashion as a second cooldown timer. Redundancy in this regard promoted clunky gameplay and a frustrated userbase. Such redundancies are unnecessary and overly complicated - which means they need to be replaced with a more streamlined gameplay system.

    - Need enough MP
    - Need enough Stamina
    - Now wait for Cast timer
    - Now wait for recast timer

I understand most but why do we need to wait for a Cast timer and a Stamina and have enough MP, it all seems very restrictive. If I have the MP, let me do the damn spell. And now I can since its removed. If I want to do blizzard and I have enough MP, I can do it and it can start casting right away, not when some bar says I can.

You think it gave you control, but it doesnt.

Also removing it is completely different thing than adding in Auto Attack, they could of removed Stamina and not had auto attack and vice-versa.
Square-Enix should just disable the need for Stamina for using spells an leave MP, cast time an recast time on that way stamina bar doesn't mix with the spells an everything works out well
