What's the BiS gear that could be used by all the DoH classes?

Hello all, just wanted to quickly ask the experts here to give me a list of BiS gear (will get it HQ'd obviously) that would fit all of the crafting classes. All the gear pieces except for the weapons slots of course I feel like investing in such a set would be great for crafters who have many classes leveled and it's too expesive to gear each one up in ilvl55 green HQ gear which is the best atm (as I recall). Plus it saves inventory space too. Thanks in advance!

Best crafter gears available that's not ilv55 is the Patrician's set with Raptorskin merchant's purse with the exception of the Dodore Doublet. The accessories are shared already. Someone said you can meld enough on the Patrician to get to where you can 100%HQ 2-star recipes but I'm not sure as I haven't found the melding limit on these items yet.

You're gonna be making money and ilvl55 HQ gears are cheap now. Plus, all the gears will be in your Armory chest so it won't take up inventory space.

Not a bad idea actually. Doing this might save loads on trying to meld 8 different sets of class specific gear. Doesn't look as cool and would never be *quite* as good, but could save some gil.

What are the base stat differences between the high level generic set and the AF set?

Waist (HQ Raptorskin Mrch. Purse): 3 Craftsmanship; 5 Control; 3 CP
- Note: Since this is not iLvl55+, it doesn't accept tier4 materia.
- Optimum meld: Control III, CP III, Control II, Craftsmanship I

Neck (HQ Electrum Choker): 3 Craftsmanship; 3 Control; 5 CP
- Note: Since this is not iLvl55+, it doesn't accept tier4 materia.
- Optimum Meld: Control III, CP III, CP II, Craftsmanship I (your pick which tier-3 materia comes first)

Ears (HQ Red Coral Earrings): 3 Craftsmanship; 3 Control; 6 CP
- Note: Since this is not iLvl55+, it doesn't accept tier4 materia.
- Optimum Meld: Control III, CP III, CP III, Craftsmanship I (your pick which tier-3 materia comes first)

Wrists (HQ Militia): 4 Craftsmanship; 4 Control; 6 CP
- Optimum Meld: Control IV, CP III, CP III, Craftsmanship II
- Alternative Meld: Control IV, CP IV, Craftsmanship II, CP II
- I used the alternative meld since CP IV materia has literally no use except for this gear slot (or melds onto NQ gear), so it's generally cheaper than any other T4 crafting materia.

Rings (HQ Aetheryte Ring): 4 Craftsmanship; 4 Control; 3 CP
- Optimum Meld: Control IV, CP III, Craftsmanship II
- Alternative Meld: Control III, CP III, Craftsmanship II, Control I

If you have the stat caps for gear, how do you determine the order and level of the materia that you meld into it?

It's based on how much the materias cost to buy. You'd want to meld the cheapest materia last as it has the lowest chance of success and the most expensive materia first since most likely it'll be 100% (not overmelded). Keep in mind you can only penta-meld a piece of gear and the caps of that specific stats. For example, if the item stats caps is +10 craftsmanship, you can either do 1 craftsman's competence IV and a II or 2 IIIs. There's no point melding 2 IV as that totals 12 craftsmanship and will be capped anyway when a II is much cheaper and you can try multiple times. Basically, you're trying to meld so you hit the caps (whichever stats you deem more important) at lowest cost to you. Sometimes, it might not be able to hit all the stats caps.

Either trial and error or someone else found it and posted on the Internet. Usually HQ gears come with some if not all main stats maxed so you can't add more of those, especially DoW/DoM stuffs where main stats are always maxed on HQ gears so you can only add side stats. DoL and DoH gears are more forgiving since you basically only have 3 stats to work with.
