Display Titles under Character Names?

Hey folks!

So as some of you may know, when you get certain achievements in-game, you unlock various things. Sometimes it's stars, sometimes it's items you can earn by going to a certain place and talking to a certain NPC...

You can also earn titles. Titles are something I often view as badges of honor and adds a bit of flavor to the game.

Would it be possible to allow these titles to be displayed above, below, or somewhere around the character name that hovers overhead? On the default settings, of course. If some players don't want to view titles, there should, of course, be an option to turn them off.

I'd just like to display my "Flamelord" title and see the titles that others have chosen for themselves. Thanks!

This was in the original mock-shot they made and I would love to see it in the game. Alas I dont think we will until players can customise the UI.

I find loooong names everywhere to be kind of annoying. I thought having first and last names was bad enough tbh. Even if it was underneath it would become blocks of text all over the screen.

But I guess as long as there was an option to turn it on and off as mentioned then it would be fine.

I'm all in favour of this, been wanting it since being shown the original ARR promo image (post #2).

I will admit part of it is because I deliberately hunted down some titles SE said would not be available in V2. They've given my Goobbue away, at least let me have my special little titles.

I can't imagine there wouldn't be. There's already an option to turn off names entirely, to shorten names to initials, etc. It'd make sense.

Well if it ever becomes implemented. We'll be seeing things like ,"Selling The [Fill in the blank]" title. 500k guaranteed.

You can't actually buy and sell titles. Unless you mean like selling HM/EX Primal Wins. In which case it would be a LOT harder and more tedious to the point where no one would be willing to sell, or if they did, it'd sell for the tens of millions if not hundreds of millions. Well, either that, or it's an event title that's so easy, anyone can earn it by themselves.

I think he just means the achievement titles you get in game, not self made titles. :3 Though it would be amusing to have FC titles shown... even if only on the character info screen.

That's exactly what I meant. Even clarified it in my original post that it was for achievement titles only, like "Flamelord", which is earned with the achievement "Burning a Hole in My Pocket III".
