Suggestions for Turn 4 Final Phase transition

Good morning! Its Friday and about to be a 3-day weekend for some of us! With that said, i hope to attempt Turn 4 again with my FC static at some point. I was wondering if anyone here had some advice or tips on the transition into the final phase (second dreadnaught pop) and overcoming healing difficulties or tanking difficulties.

We currently are attempting to burn the rook down first, focus the Knight and Soldier, and then attempt to dps the dreadnaughts. Unfortunately we never get it that clean and something always goes wrong with the knight & soldier + rook. How have your groups coped with this?

    Thanks!

By the way, our setup consists of i80+ as follows:
    2x PLD
    WHM
    SCH
    BLM
    MNK
    BRD
    SMN

Our team managed this by killing the P5 Dread first while the OT kited the P5 Knight and Soldier.

If you dps is high enough you should be able to kill, or just kill the P5 dread before the p6 one drops.

On P6, have your monk immediately LB the rook and the ranged dps finish it off. To do this have you monk fight the p5 dread on the flank next to where the rook drops.

The MT will pick up the dread and OT will pick up the all other p6 adds and start kiting them by running in a small circle around all of them.

After the rook is dead, focus kill the knights and soldiers in whichever way is best for your team. Once the knights and soldiers die can either Ignore the bugs and let the OT hold them or feed them to the dread before killing it. If you decide to hold the bugs, you can easily finish them up after the dread is down.

    Last phase, goes like:

1- All range stack at the center of the stage.
2- damage dreadnaught as much as possible.
3- all hots including the ones from Eos are off right before the last dreadnaught drops. You don't want the new Dread to target any healer.
4- Melee LB the rook ASAP and burn it down as soon as it shows up..
5- OT picks everything else. Solider, knight and the 2 bugs. He can start kiting them in the back or man mood depends on his gear. This is the end of the OT responsibility, so burn CDs.
6- DD finishes off the old Dread.
7- OT feeds bugs to the last Dread.
8- DD kills solider and knight
9- everyone stacks right behind the last Dread in case of enrage for AoE heals.

you want the rook dead immediately, but you can't kill everything before killing one of the dreadnaught. Hopefully you might have gotten the old dread low enough to kill before it kills your main tank during phase 6.

i see something like this from 5 to 6 as far as kill orders go
    Soldier (everyone)
    High damage on 1st dread
    Phase 6 pop
    Rook
    Finish 1st dread
    Knight/soldier
second dread (probably feed him bugs at some point.)

This is pretty much what we do. We don't feed the spiders though. After the Old Dreadnaught goes down we kill the knight/soldier/spiders and then finish the other Dreadnaught ftw.

theres a lot of mobs at the start of p6 alternate hallowed between tanks so for 20sec you dont have to worry about not having the heals to stay up, some stuff should be dead after the 20 secs and be much more manageable

I'm confused. Is your group having the MT tank both dreads while you kill the adds? Kill order for my group is rook> old dread> soldier> knight >(feed spiders) new dread. At the start of phase 6 have both tanks hit their biggest cooldowns. PLD needs hallowed ground. Once hallowed ground wears off all casters need to rotate E4E on the MT. My group has 4 casters with this skill so I'm able to E4E the OT as well. Virus both dreads.

For positioning the MT tanks the dreads where they spawn north. The rest of the raid stands against the NE Wall with the OT to help him pick up adds quickly. Once all the adds are dead we stack tightly behind the new dread and prep for the enrage timer. Finish dread and we are done.

Thanks for the information everyone. I'll share this thread with our group leader and see if we can develop a better strategy!

Our group uses same or similar setup as yours and here's what we do:

    1. At start of last phase both tanks (if both PLD) use Hallowed ground. WHM should hit Shroud of Saints. SCH focuses on healing MT, WHM is on OT and rest of the group (WHM should of course regen the MT and assist in healing them if needed and use Virus on a DN). When Hallowed wears, our main tank uses tank LB (1 bar), then rest of her/his CDs when that's done. MT gets both DNs, OT gets knight, soldier and at least 1 bug. One bug can be fed to the new DN (all other pt members stack next to where it pops so that the bug will run to them and DN will get it) or OT can take it.

    2. Our melee stays on the DN we were attacking in last phase. Ranged DDs pull and kill the Rook asap. When rook is dead. Ranged DDs help MNK to kill the DN at low HP. Meanwhile OT kites soldier, knight and bug(s) further away.

    3. When first DN is dead, magic DDs kill soldier and physical DDs kill the knight. After that they kill the remaining bug(s).

    4. Kill the last DN and win.

    Good luck!

We kill one bug, kill dread. wait for rook and second dread, lb rook kill dread. Ot is kiting and popped HG, rotating CD's, then when final dread is dead MT starts to voke off mobs and it's easy sailing from there.
