Looking to transfer worlds - Any recommendations on deciding the best fit?

I'm a NA player from 1.0 who accidentally requested Ragnarok as my server when the emails went out for character transfers during beta. I figured that with the game being as popular as it is, it shouldn't be an issue and the player pool would likely be large no matter what time it was. However, due to the fact that server time is 8 hours ahead of my own, it is actually causing considerable issues in my search of finding a new static group to run with since 9 pm my time, is about 5 am server time.

That being said, I'm having a tough time deciding on which legacy server to transfer to. To me, the most important things to me are progression and end game content. With 2.2 coming in the next few months, I would like to find a highly successful legacy raiding server but without any way of tracking people's progress, it's difficult.

TL : DR - Looking for a solid NA legacy raiding server, not sure how to choose the best one.

Any suggestions?

At a glance I'd say Balmung seems pretty active and successful, I can't speak for other servers so hopefully this will bring them out of hiding.

id say go do a little research on the server part of the forum and see how active they are. cactuar is good i guess. never a que to login though so i dont know if that means anything. a few really big FCs eating up smaller ones as well. overall a pretty friendly environment with the random baggery but i would take that to be normal.

Cactuar is a non legacy server which is locked off to the OP.

Balmung's one of the larger, friendlier servers.

Has been since it was Besaid at the launch of 1.0

Can't speak about Fabul (our co-merger) but I hear they were pretty large and friendly too.

Sargatanas is always quite active and I hear Excalibur is too.
