    Miqo'te Moon-Keepers Lore Issues

I'm a player who loves creating a lore-friendly character in every respect, it helps me feel more immersed in the game world.
My current issue is this; I have a Miqo'te Moon-Keeper and I started him as an Arcanist, which set his city-state as Limsa Lominsa. I read up on the lore and found most Moon-Keepers live in Gridania (makes sense thinking about it, CNJs start in Gridania and M-Ks have high MND).
My question is, did some M-Ks move elsewhere during the conflicts with Gridania? Are there M-Ks living in Limsa? And does Arcanist, given that it can advance to SCH, fit with M-K lore?

Although the Keepers of the Moon do have a connection to the Black Shroud, FFXIV is not like FFXI where each city was somewhat racially homogenous - Eorzea's citystates are very multicultural, in that even though a certain racial clan might have a strong connection to it's history, you'll find members of all races living there.

As for ACN, the class is stated as coming from the southern island continent of Mercaydia, which is apparently where the lalafell originated, but also there's a strong possibility (with little proof), that the miqo'te also originated there.

But really, the lore of the game in regards to the five races is very open - as I mentioned Eorzea is mulitracial and and a cultural melting pot, so feel free to create a Moonkitty ACN in Limsa. Worse case scenario you could state that he moved there to study Aracanima but was born elsewhere. (This is actually what I did with my own character's backstory - having her born in Ala Mhigo, yet growing up in Ul'dah where she learned swordplay as a GLA then moved to Gridania where she started her adventuring career at the start of 1.0).

Thanks! After some research I figured it didn't matter anyway seeing as the Miqo'te aren't Eorzean natives. I also figured for his back-story that he left Gridania during the conflict between the Miqo'te and the Gridanians to study in Limsa (I see ACN as the middle-ground between THM and CNJ so I thought it'd be a good place for him lore-wise to start his studies, haha.)

This is hardly a worst case, since the storyline shows you arriving to your starting city from parts unknown. The story seems to imply that, no matter which city your adventure starts in, you're not from there and don't live there.

I'd completely forgotten all about that, haha.

That's true, but then, the player is asked by the merchant specifically if that was their first time visiting that city - for all he knew the player could have been born there and left years before only to return if you answer 'no' (he explains about the city you're starting in the same way regardless anyway). Really, that's just a form of handwaving the player's past - it's up to the player to decide where they originally came from and whether or not it's important to them.

Has anyone seen any MALE Moonkeeper NPCs? I feel like we are under-represented

Moon Keeper's in general seem to appear less than Sun Seekers. Both as NPC and player characters. Which I actually like. Fits in with the lore better, imo.

It's part of the Lore that male birthrates for Keepers is extremely low. Since there's so few of them and given the general matriarchal nature of their culture, I'm assuming societal pressures to stay home and help make the babies is probably huge.

Personally a lot of my Miqo'te's backstory is wrapped-up in why he's not doing so right now. Also, why his name is funny (OhGodsellmeaNamingwayCardsalreadyPleasePleasePlease).
