things that i find useful as scholar:

• Order your party list (my preference: tanks, then healer, then DPS)
• Drink some Mulled Tea
• I macro pretty much EVERYTHING: my offensive spells have <tt> macro so i can attack the mob the tank is attacking without switching target. And all my heals are paired with Embrace. Also a macro for Obey/Steady/Heel
• I have 2 bars (1 and 4) that i switch depending on what fairy I use. one for my main heals and Eos main skills and one for Selene.
• I have a small bar near my party list with cooldowns so I use them often (I use rouse a lot personally, not only when spike damage)
• Use Aetherflow on cooldown (It is not a "oh now, I soon have no more MP" button!)
• Focus Target the boss (or in fight like ifrit the other healer) so you keep good vision of what is happening (as we can tend to only focus on party list bars)
• If no summoner, you have priority on Virus, use it. Use EfE when available.
• Place fairy when you know a good spot so you have less to manage. Keep on heel when you feel like placing dont bring much. For instance I place for Titan and Ifrit X but I keep her on heel for Garuda.
• If paired with another Scholar, if no huge AoE damage, try to have Eos/Selene combo rather than 2 Eos.
• If you have constantly a lot of MP, use your attack dots (with my macros I can do in between healing without switching targets. usually throw bio/aero due to no cast time. the rest when I have more time)
• Lustrate is great to heal while you dodge

To really maximize your output, it's important to manage your fairy. Proper use of cooldowns adds a huge boost to your healing. A buffed whispering dawn easily puts 3000 or more hp onto your party, which is a big strain off the white mage.

At the very least, I'd recommend macros for embrace. This will let you direct your fairy's heals before they would normally go off. Even better is manually controlling embrace. This lets you split your heals between two targets, or to focus heals on your tank when they would otherwise go to lower hp dps. Just remember that anything your fairy does is FREE! Don't let those valuable cooldowns go unused if you have to consume mp to make up the difference for them

Unless they changed this recently (as in the last two weeks) the speed up skills do not stack and even if received from another SCH's Selene will be overwritten with the most recently cast one.

Please edit the title of this thread(if possible) to say it's a guide. It would be good to know before reading 1/3 of the wall and realizing what you're reading is not for you.

It isn't possible to change as far as I'm aware, or I would have edited my typo on the title haha. But I do mention it being a guide by the end of the first chunk. Regardless, I would like to spend some time editing and tidying up the initial post regardless. Thanks for reading though!

Press O to open the Social menu, click the Party Members tab if it's not selected already, click somebody's name, and click the up or down arrows to move their order in the list.
