Seeing as I've been reading/posting about various lag issues since the day after 2.1 came out, I'm gonna venture to say we're never going to get any response from SE/mods on this forum about it. A user in another thread similar to this one said it may be that they don't want to put themselves into any kind of situation where it reflects poorly on the company by responding (i.e. they blame lag on Level 3/Cogentco and get sued for libel). I've seen a few comments here and there about how, after a certain small patch/maintenance update, the user's lag (whatever kind of lag it was) was fixed. That's pretty much the best we can hope for. Trying to get your ISP to change the way they route for one game (I tried) is next to impossible. 6 days until I suspend my account.

Problem is with Level 3 in Montreal, I contacted them here: http://www.level3.com/en/forms/contactus_prim/
I suggest everyone does the same until they fix it!

Like Galliano, I'm posting this info in relevant lag threads:
I contacted Level 3 (sometimes I'm routed through there), but my main issue deals with Cogent. I've tried contacting them using the following info:
United States / Canada
Hotline: 1-877-7-COGENT (877-726-4368) or 1-202-295-4368
Email: support@cogentco.com
For other countries, if you have issues with routing through them: http://www.cogentco.com/en/customer-...e/support-desk
They were less than receptive to my email seeing as I'm not their customer.
And my ISP (AT&T U-verse) will not be trying to talk to Cogent because
A)their customer service is offensive at best
B)I have no other issues with my network or other online games
C)they say no one else has contacted them concerning issues with FFXIV

Update on my end.
Date/Time: 2/1/14 1800 - 1900hrs
Location: Boston, MA
ISP: Verizon FiOS 50/50
DataCenter: NA Montreal, Canada
Via Normal Routing (Level 3)
Avg Ping: 60ms
Max Ping: 440ms
Packet Loss via Level 3: 36%
Via WTFast Phoenix (bypassing Level 3)
Avg Ping: 29ms
Max Ping: 51ms
Packet Loss: 0%
To SE:
Why exactly do I have to cross the entire USA to bypass one of your upstreamers and pay for it to get a good connection with no packet loss? This is on top of my ISP and Subscription monthly fees.
Had zero issues 1.0 Alpha to 1.0 shutdown. ARR Alpha to 2.1 patch day.
Fix your end, whether its you or your middle man or Level 3.
Thank You for your time.

Guys here nobody read us :/ Someone post this issue on "Bug report" section. In That section sometimes GM reply at most followed post.

bump, issue still not resolved been weeks since I posted anything. Please for the love of the game and business ethics just reply to us and let us know you are trying to work on this issue. The game is unplayable for end game content

Been road blocked on titan EX because of this issue. I feel like I can't do any progression. while in other games the issue is non existent... I love the game but I feel like this issue is going to force me out :/
10:30pm Moogle EU, lag started, same packet loss problems, same nodes as always:
te0-2-0-5.ccr21.lon01.atlas.cogentco.com [130.117.14.205]
be2314.ccr21.lon13.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.72.253]
be2283.ccr21.lpl01.atlas.cogentco.com [130.117.49.34]
now 12:08am and still going on.
For some reason, it doesnt seem as bad on weekends during prime time. Think level3 raises whatever data cap they have on the weekends to accommodate? I tried doing a dungeon today around 730pm est, and it was abysmal, 5-10 sec lag spikes every 30 seconds.
I also noticed its the level3 New York nodes giving a problem right now.
