    2.1 Lag

    Same problem here. Haven't been able to complete an instance in a week now so I just gave up hoping that SE is fixing the problem. If there is no resolution in the next week, I'm demanding a refund for the 3 month payment I just made. I can spend that money elsewhere if SE isn't going to fix a problem that doesn't let me play their game.

    Still nothing from SE sometimes I wish I could post this somewhere else I mean look at the quality of life section, someone always replies there but when you think about it this is a bigger issue than those

    Getting real sick of this lag. I can't play the game anymore without a VPN client because I get constant error 90000 and lag like HELL. I feel embarrassed to play with other players now because of the lag. I have no excuse for it--what the heck am I supposed to do? Square-Enix, seriously. Enough. Fix the lag. I'm tired of apologizing for something YOU'VE done wrong. My ISP isn't the problem, it's YOU.

    If you can play fine with a VPN client, it's between you and SE.
    There are more parties involved than just you, your ISP and SE.
    SE is not directly connected to Level 3 or Cogentco where the actual problem is, and your ISP has decided to route you through either of them, whereas with the VPN client, the traffic either takes a different route or the VPN provider pays to have their traffic prioritized so that it's not affected by the real problem.

    You can continue to bug SE about it, or to bug your ISP to route differently, of course.
    Chances are still that SE is also being ignored by Level3 and/or cogentco.

    My question to this is why did it suddenly pop up after 2.1 patch? Doesn't that mean that SE did something?

    SE changed the polling in certain instances from 0.3 to 0.1, namely all the new hard content everyone is doing. So the amount of data SE is sending/receiving has tripled. That could of course be coincidental and not actually the cause, but it could be that the problems nodes can't handle the excess load.

    As a previous commenter already said they upped the polling rate for instanced content.
    This was in response to complaints about being unable to run out of aoe's in time and players requesting that they poll more often.
    They said that they would be looking at results from that before they increase the polling rate for non-instanced content as well.
    I doubt we'll see anything change before 2.2 though they do have an opportunity at 2.16 to try to ease the load...

    Glad to see that I am not alone

    I have been having the same issues. 90k errors more often than I would like. I also know that it isn't from my end because if it was my TS would also disconnect. I know others whom are having the same issue and they have traced their lag and disconnect errors back to the Montreal servers. I have a hard time believing that the change the polling from 0.3 to 0.1 is the full issue.

    Having same issue with lag spikes happening at every hour in the evening especially, unable to complete any instance and near unplayable atm.
