    I just find it a silly request... if you don't like buffing, then don't play a class that buffs people?

    Regardless, IIRC FFXI had Protectra which basically did what you asked (AOE Protect). Dunno why the -ra and -aga spells weren't put into ARR. Fire 2 is basically Fireaga.
