Buying Allagan pieces ~ mail me!

Hi, I'm looking to buy a bunch of Allagan Gold & Silver pieces. They NPC for 2500 & 500 respectively. Instead of NPCing them or shoving them on the AH (where you'll pay tax on sale), you can mail them to me, or whisper me for a face-to-face trade!

So, for silver: 520/ea for singles, 540/ea x99
and for gold: 2600/ea for singles, 2750/ea x99

I'm also a 50 miner / botanist~
and willing to work out bulk deals on gatherables / craftables (eg., horn glue), below current AH prices

Atm, I'm offering these specials and I'll update every now and then if there's enough interest:
NQ Rosewood lumber @ 15gil ea, ~2k avail
HQ set of i49 accessories (spinel, amber, black pearl, etc) @ 7k/set, 7.5k melded with crap (for SB)
HQ Leve items - varies depending on the materials, but guaranteed cheaper than the AH. Hit me up if you want stuff in bulk!
NQ Electrum Ingots - 20% cheaper than AH, ~1.5k avail

What is the purpose of having these things? I mean they aren't used in crafting to my knoweldge........

Only reason I can think of is for server transfers.

There is a gil cap on transfers, so if you have more than the cap, you should probably find some sort of item you can easily take with you. Allagan pieces work great because they sell for the same amount to NPCs no matter the server, so you don't have to gamble with other servers economies or be stuck with 23525 of whatever item you chose to invest in.

Like the others have mentioned (and I'm super late replying woops) they're useful for bypassing gil cap on server transfers.
But for myself, I just wanted to completely fill my retainers with them, as a long term goal to work towards.
A pile of numbers at the bottom of my screen might be more efficient storage-wise, but I like playing with my treasure.

Lol I have better things to fill retainers with but I do want a fair few mil of them incase something happens to the rest of my Gil
