Its perfectly fine for people to make learning groups they should be doing those groups because more experienced people want to get done fast and there is more then enough newcomers to make a group. Personally I just stay away from those because I don't want to spend 3-4 hours wiping on a fight because someone is learning. I pretty much only join groups that say primal weapon check/ ifrit check or experience only for ex primals.

Funny part about learning party, some join without reading the part that actually says "LEARNING PARTY" and gets all pissed off inside after first/second wipe.

One problem with party finder is that it wasn't taught to the players so some still don't even know it exists, + the extra click in the main menu is too hard for some people.. (OMG)

I posted on JP side suggesting a link to party finder detail page in chat but only got 2 likes lol. I know shouting kills the point of party finder (surprisingly some players think this way...), but at same time if people don't even know it exists thought it would be cool for the person making the party finder or people in that party can add a link to their chat so they can shout, tell people in their FC/LS where people can click > jumps to details page > click join to join right away.

So you basically want incredibly easy fights that have 1% drop rates on items so you have to spam them 100s of times?

Or, you know, the new player can go spend a minute to read about it or skim through a video for a few minutes.

You're free to expect whatever you like to come with a Duty Finder party. That Duty Finder party is free to disappoint you in whatever manner it can.

In a perfect world everyone is born with intimate knowledge of all boss ability tables, and plays to perfection every fight, with no shortcomings.
Given that this is not that perfect world, your expectations can be fairly summed up as "too high".

Duty finder is egalitarian, and beyond some very basic iLvl, character level and job/class requirements is designed to cast the widest net possible, to help you fill up a group when you're unable to do so yourself.

Duty Finder is designed specifically to grab the right number of classes/roles/warm bodies, check for a pulse, and mash whoever comes up into something resembling a party.

Duty Finder is NOT designed to check competence, player reaction times, knowledge of mechanics or general player skill. The actual content Duty Finder throws you into is the check for that.

It IS unreasonable to expect that people thrown randomly together by a system that has the most very basic and minimal barriers to entry in place to also somehow supply you with a winning team every time you use it, or even half the time I'd say.

If you beat whatever the content in question is with a Duty Finder group AT ALL, be glad of it, regardless of the hoops you may have to jump through.

You want pros? People you can be sure are competent and have done the fight before/watched the video/read the guide?
You go to Party Finder and set/check requirements. You get off your a** and do some of the groundwork for the party build yourself.

You want to sit back, relax and have the system cast a super-wide net for you? Do all the party building at the push of a button while you enjoy your latte? You use Duty Finder, and you work with what it gives you.

If it gives you lemons, you can make lemonade (teach the players it provided you with) or you can leave ("Eh, I like lemonade, but not enough to juice those suckers myself").
Expecting the lemons to juice themselves is silly. If it happens by chance, it's a miracle and you should be thankful. If it doesn't, did you really have any reasonable right to expect otherwise?

From what I've seen, the PF in the world I'm from either say JP only (zzz) or if in English, Experienced Players only. -.-''

I'd love to join a learning party if there was ever one in this world. :/

It's funny how the JP players have a completely opposite approach to PF and DF. Probably another reason why JP parties usually dislike any EN players that queue in DF.

JP players have alot of learning parties using the PF, they use the DF to clear content. So you can bet when they get grouped up with some random EN noob who is completely new, causing them to wipe, they're gonna be pissed.

    Yes.

Play a lot to get access to the boss, get some people who also have access, then play a lot to drop items.

This is my favourite MMORPG experience... I so miss it.

...and then we all grew up and got jobs.

not everyone can play 24/7.. the current system, although flawed, it 10x better then the mindless timesinks of previous generations of mmo's

just use DF to learn . Sometimes you get fast learners in DF and actually beat content .
