    To op.
Don't let these kinds of people turn you off, this game is great, and surely there are very nice people as well. It's just like in real life, there are always a holes that have no patience and think they're better than the rest of the world, pay no attention to these types of people and do things you enjoy. Don't let them stop you from progressing the game or trying new dungeons, if you are yelled at or verbally insulted, just leave knowing the person trash talking is just a sore loser who thinks he is god behind his keyboard at home, so don't worry and have fun there are many nice people within the community who are level headed and understanding who won't trash talk to you. If I see a person die over and over or not dodge there's no way I'd yell at him or something.. it's a game and I expect the same from the people I play with when I do something for the first time as well.

It surprises me when people answer the OP with "Well get tough and stop being a scaredy cat!" When we all know that's the last thing she wants to hear. She's down, lets not kick her yeah? The OP may be a cat, but when did it become a bad thing to be a bit scared? It's a natural feeling, and I think she's right to question the cruelty of people. Shouldn't we always question it?

This game is an escape. From the BS at work, from the BS at school. From the BS of your family and friends. In the real world we have to keep our guard up, because then it matters, and I'll get mean if I have to. But doesn't it get tiring? It does to me. This is why I play. It's my escape where I can let my guard down and take of my "don't fuck with me" mask and trade it in for some mage robes, and the ability to raise people up like Lazarus, and to ride a goddamn chicken! To just have a good time and not worry. I'm sure this is what she wants and it sucks when a bunch of meanies screw it up.

I'm not scared of people however I am disheartened by the community and decided to not renew my sub. I'm one of those "baddies" who can't dodge for the life of me (Titan HM). I feel badly enough, don't need someone else berating me. As I've gotten to endgame, my positive experiences are getting less and less. Completing my story quests in the eight mans was a terrible experience and really a downer. CT is a great addition however the times I've been there, it hasn't been a great experience and folks can be downright nasty.

I've enjoyed the game though. I had loads of fun playing it through the story. It was a good run. I'm not much into a long term gear grind so my time was coming to a close anyway me thinks. This was my first Final Fantasy game and I'm glad I tried it.

I am on Goblin and Kat is one of the nicest people I know! Over and over she has gone out of her way to help others, and make them smile. She constantly runs content to help others. These are VALID concerns. DPS, healer or tank.. a new player needs help not abuse!

Bottom line: There is a real person sitting at a keyboard. You may think its no big deal to flame them, verbally abuse them, or belittle them because you don't really see them. However, you don't know them. You don't know their age, or their gender. You don't know if they have been on the line considering suicide and your treatment is the thing that pushes them over the edge. No, its not acceptable. Ok? Even a healthy well balanced adult can get their feelings hurt and become depressed by being treated in a de-humanizing way.

This is pretty absurd. I will not step on pins and needles (nor would I expect any other random person to) by assuming everyone on the internet is borderline suicidal. If you need help, there are outlets in the real world. Escaping in a virtual world is not healthy for someone with suicidal ideation. Get some help in the real world instead of running away from your problems online or expecting others to treat you special because you have your own demons.

Nobody is forcing you to stay in this online environment that you cannot endure. This is not some abusive relationship that you cannot escape. Uninstall, unplug, and go take a walk, or talk with professionals or real life friends. Everyone pays the same amount of money per month to play this game, we are not your therapists nor your counselors.

Go at your own pace, if other people don't like it, well, don't let it annoy you. It's not like you'll ever need to meet that person again.

Admittedly, every time I queue in a dungeon as another class for the first time. Especially as a tank. And getting paired up with level synched 50s can get a little intimidating... but there's no other way but forward. So take the plunge, come what may.

I didn't really have any problems with DF and dungeons in the main game, save for one incident on Brayflox. However once I hit 50 it all went south and yeah the community for endgame can be downright disgusting at times.

Try levelling up other classes and you should have a better experience in lower level dungeons.
