There is a real person sitting at a keyboard. You may think its no big deal to flame them, verbally abuse them, or belittle them because you don't really see them. However, you don't know them. You don't know their age, or their gender. You don't know if they have been on the line considering suicide and your treatment is the thing that pushes them over the edge. No, its not acceptable. Ok? Even a healthy well balanced adult can get their feelings hurt and become depressed by being treated in a de-humanizing way.
