Mog Houses & Shops (with more!)

Be cool to custom your house the way you want to what your job is and get improvments that way. Blacksmith shop etc if your a blacksmith and be able to craft in my house. Maybe be able to make some kind of house shop where everything is tax free and goods listed like the wards so people can visit your home and shop there.

Gives you a place of your own and a shop with a nice look to it and feeling?

I STRONGLY agree with the vast majority of what has been said in this thread. I've heard horror stories about mi'quote retainers running off with people's stuff. I have an elvaan female who has never done that, but I have always been hesitant about putting gear up on her inventory for storage. Of course, I also like to save lower level gear for when I am leveling another job because I can be very frugal like that. As you can imagine, my inventory is already half filled by gear and once I hit level 30 and buy more new gear it will threaten to consume it. SE really needs to impliment the moghouse feature. It really does.

There MUST be some way of bringing this to the developer's attention. Is there some way of sending these suggestions to the proper channels where they will be noticed?

dev Tags are the best way, but until I can locate the appropriate tag for this topic, it'll have to stay general discussion.

I should edit in the option to send in feedback from their support page, where the SE team reads all incoming traffic. Though they do not respond, it might be the most direct way of forcing your thoughts onto SE.

Personally I wish Moghouses worked somehwhat like XI, your own personal storage area and pad to relax in. and instead of needing to physically move to a shop we should just be able to bring up a store-front menue.

Have some sort of searchable database for shops and purchase right from there.

So there has been an outcry for Mog Houses (MH).

So my thoughts on the subject.

If MH's were to be brought back here is some ways they could be better used than FFXI did:

Mog House Storage
Mog House Mailing
Mog House Shops
Mog House Gardens
Mog House Decor

Mog House Storage is simple, just the basic inventory to store unused or over stocked gear and items (need for retainer storage is removed)
Mog House Mailing is the idea to ship and send gear and items to other characters' Mog Houses.
Mog House Shops may be available upon first entering the Mog House zone, where the player would be asked to move to their "Personal Mog House" or "View Player Shops" (need for retainer markets is removed / not to replace auction house if implemented)
Mog House Gardens is for the growth of flora that may help benefit crafts of display/decor purposes, etc.
Mog House Decor is for publically display of your Mog House to players invited into one's personal Mog House.

In my opinion, if SE were to bring back the Mog House to mirror FFXI's then there is no need for it in FFXIV. Improvements are required and I believe I've brought up the most important.
If anyone would like to share ideas then I would love to read them below, and if popular I will add to OP post.

This has been requested since beta atleast to my own knowledge, so you have my full support on this.

SE stop being lame & give us the natural order of things.

I doubt anyone is willing to pay a monthly fee withouth these features,
including the lack of a proper auction house. (i know im not)

I couldnt agree more, there's not much new in FFXIV, the battlesystem is being reformed to mimc FFXI, the classes the same, the races are more or less identical to FFXI, the major part that makes FFXIV unique (and should be kept) is the Lore, stories etc.
I wish people out there "Hating" this "FFXI Clone" would see past all this.

SE seems to have forgotten their old motto "Why change something that works?"
Improving it, is okay but making things worse... thats no go!

Id like for SE to fix what is broken, unwanted or pointless, once thats done you can think of new
unique ways to make this game the best mmo out there, listen to your fans & we will follow.


Btw... i wouldnt mind if your talented Artists whipped up some awesome looking wallpapers for us.
We all computer / videogame freaks who loves artwork in many forms.
