Wish List- Things that would bring immersion in FF14

Just a nice list of concepts i hope SE will consider bringing into the game:

    1. NPC Activity. I'm talking about more NPC's moving about the streets, shopping at the many stands(perhaps haggling over prices), NPC's out in the field logging/mining etc, a parade once a day or so like in the Ul'dah intro.

    2. Moghouse- One of my favorite aspects of FFXI was being able to do long grinds and know at the end of the day come home to my MogHouse and chill, garden, etc.

    3. If Market Wards stay... Have the Wards and the players personal Moghouse linked, so that players finding items are prompted via UI(not running) to travel to the players Mogshop.

    4. Moogles are rare but perhaps have a select few in each city delivering mail or some other moogle lore related activity (not real player mail). Think FFIX style.

    5. If players want a personal Moghouse style moogle (like in FF11) they undertake a lengthy quest chain where they eventually free/rescue and befriend the moogle that will reside with them.

    6. Player based events like races, crafting and gathering competitions, cook offs etc.

    7. Add voice over to all the cut scenes(at least in the main quest chain, if memory is an issue), its odd to watch them so well rendered without.

    I like all these ideas.

I think maybe you're overboard with Moogles, but I agree Moogles need more exposure to players. I've been playing for 9 months and I've seen 2 moogles in cut scenes or class quest instances. If Moogles aren't able to integrate into city culture (for lore reasons) at least have a Moogle town or village. Moolges actually visitable within the game itself not just cut scenes and instances that we can see 1x per character.

Yeah perhaps i did go a little moogle happy on some of those. But i think the concepts could stay even if the moogle part was either cut out or scaled back. I do like your moogle village idea a lot.

Thanks. I had the idea since XI.
Where do all those Moogles come from!? They must live somewhere.

There's a Sylph village tucked away in a corner of the Black Shroud.
That's what Moogles need. That would be so cute. ^^

Politics. Player-run or player-influenced cities. Wars. The ability for a bunch of crafters to build a city together, working on the layout, putting together the buildings, decorating, then renting out to companies and shops. Politics of running the cities, defending them from "friendly" nations and hostile beastmen sieges. Crime. Caravans to stock the city with goods and sell its wares to other cities, and the need to escort and protect the caravans from bandits and beastmen.

But mostly not clipping through my hat.

(And maybe forests that are actually a large collection of trees rather than a bunch of pathways with some painted trees in the background. The Black Shroud < Ronfaure, Zi'Tah, etc.)

    (And a boat.)

There is no such thing as too much Moogle.

I am also very inclined to player driven conflict and competition.
People have suggested leves that are along the lines of "You have X number of minutes. See how many monsters you can kill."
If linkshells could compete to kill the most monsters, that would be awesome. Having things to brag about is always an incentive.

Something akin to Conquest from FFXI would be awesome as well. There simply isn't enough friction between the cities. They're very indifferent toward each other. I hope the Grand Companies bring more competition.

I can see that being pretty fun. Perhaps the promoter NPC that players sign up at, would display the LS crest of the winning team for the day.
