It would be awesome if SE banned bots in a timely manner, but it often takes them weeks to ban even the most obvious of bots (teleporting gathering bots that spawn inside the terrain).
Last ban round they finally got rid of them, but it won't take long for them to come back. I'm actually surprised by how they weren't back yesterday.

Oh Square cares about RMT, botting not so much.
Pretty much this. Those accounts being banned are likely purely RMT related so they get cleaned out regularly. Bots on the other hand? Provided it's not for RMT purposes (like the ones who farm/pvp/exp bot for personal gain in game), they've been able to run free doing their thing since the day the game launched. Sure, SE may ban in waves, but they don't ban them in said waves.

SE handles bots? (Go look at snakemolt in south shroud lol)

I've seen a few bots on my server. There's a couple on Mor Dhona "farming" Lake Cobras. It's obvious too since they stay in 1 place, rotate on an axis, and as soon as a mob spawn they target it instantly (really fast). Also they don't have advanced jobs. Finally, almost all that I see are Arcanist, probably due to carbuncle.
Edit* Like Priya said, yeah there are some at snakemolt farming Lesser Kalongs lol.

even if SE bans them selling 40 slots worth of mats add up to alot of gil quick.
5k a stack x 40 slot = 1 million a day and imagine how many more accounts they have selling & farming. bans mean nothing to them there making big money from all the people buying from them they can just buy or steal new accounts without dipping into there pocket.
i dont bother undercutting i set my price it sells a few days later, im not going to just throw away what im selling.
longer they wait to ban the more damage is done.

By my calculations, your equation is five times as much as it should be.
Also, it's pointless to ban each bot as it's seen. It's common practice to allow the bots to continue as they often interact with other accounts in terms of transactions. Instead of banning a few individual bots, patience allows SE to gather data to determine a much larger web of connections that are also associated with the account and ban them all at once.
This is nothing new.
