    Can anything be done to make spells register faster when cast.

    When fighting Twintania for example if Stoneskin lands WHILE Twintania is casting Death Sentence it will not register as being on the tank and they will take full damage.

    This also happens with stuff like Hallowed Ground not going off when the button is pressed but the cooldown still starts.

    Is it possible you guys that Square Enix could fix these issues where we don't have to wait on animations for instant cast abilities to go off and making spells like Lustrate and Stoneskin get recognized by the server quicker ?

    What I'm guessing is happening here with the first thing you said is similar to what happens when trying to throw up a Stoneskin on the tank to absorb some damage on, say, Everybody's Grudge from the Tonberry King.

    Basically that Stoneskin has to take effect (the +Stoneskin icon has to show up) before the move's readying bar fills up, or else the Stoneskin will not take effect when the damage actually occurs. Reason being that as soon as the readying bar is filled up, even though the damage is not inflicted immediately, the game has already registered the hit and already knows how much damage it's going to do (and, by extension, it has also determined at that point whether or not Stoneskin/Galvanize is going to eat the hit).

    As for the other thing you said (abilities being used up without actually taking effect), yeah, I agree that's crap. Abilities should not be "used up" until they have taken effect.

    Only thing I can think of is if you are using a keyboard for your skills, get a mechanical keyboard. I don't think anyone on endgame actually plays without a controller or gaming mouse though....

    It really is, but to expand a 'touch'.

    The abilities are actually set to not grant the effect until the animation is complete: this includes damage abilities, healing abilities, buffs, etc. You'll notice it basically everywhere if you look for it, and it's just the way things are designed to work.
