After the ultimate let down of the CE launch, I came back to FFXIV about a month ago. . . Due to my original server being dead, and all my friends long gone; I ended up starting a new character on Besaid. After a solid month of running around Eorzea, I'm impressed with the improvements. This game is enjoyable now. Regardless of when these changes or "fixes" were implemented, the game has come along way (and has a long way to go). I kind of feel sorry the people who knew at the time of release that the game had little to no content and still rushed to end game. I personally feel that setting the game down for the 6 months or so that I did was the best decision I could've made. . . I came back imho at the best possible time. I should be hitting ~30's on at least 2 DoW classes right around the release of 1.18 and will be able to thoroughly enjoy the new battle system and dungeons on my favorite classes =D

With that being said: the fact alone that I have optimism for this game says a lot. I've never been a hardcore FF fan. I enjoyed a select few from the series. . . Most notably, FFVII, Tactics, FFX, and of coarse FFXI. Anyways, after playing this game for a week after release, I was sure this game was doomed to fail. I had no intention after the extreme let down, of returning. Not sure what made me re-install and try again but so far, coming back was a great decision and I look forward to spending more time w/ my current LS and the ever changing world of Eorzea.
