I fully agree and I have been optimistic since alpha testing that SE would have what it takes to turn FFXIV around and make it into the fully fledged, fully featured, next gen MMO it was supposed to be.

However I am getting to a point where my faith in SE is wavering. I went from alpha telling myself beta will be better. Beta came and it was better but still not ready. I told myself they would have a huge patch ready for launch that would solve all this. CE launch came, I told myself the patch would come the week after when the game went full retail. It didn't come, I told myself they would get on top of it and get it sorted quickly, promises from the Dev team were made. Those promises were not delivered and a Dev team reshuffle happened. Finally I thought here we go, so far though not a lot has changed.

Then there is the limited info we are being given about the new systems. 1 Class to 1 Job and things like that and I am beginning to slide in the other direction. There is no doubt that getting FFXIV on track is going to require a huge effort but how long is it really going to take to get there? A few more months maybe even a year who knows.

Hopefully they are waiting for the battle system and once that is in they can start getting stuff in at a much more rapid rate than what we are getting now.
