Class/Job Icon Tooltip

Can we please get a tooltip that will display the name of a class or job when you mouse over its icon? I've only leveled a couple classes and do not remember which class/job goes with each for a lot of them. I get by with the color coding but it would be nice to know what is going on without having to do some studying to memorize your crazy icons.

I know, wah wah /whine and all, it would be helpful is all I'm saying.

You'll pick it up - there aren't many to learn, and the icons are all pretty representative.

Necroing for justice and b/c it's stupid this still isn't a feature, regardless of how easy it is to "pick up". Something so simple and helpful, and Square to lazy to implement it - something that's in every other MMO out there.

Huh? Every location that has the icons, says the job. The only place it doesnt, is in the party list, and at that point all you have to do is examine the player. Where exactly are you looking that you can't identify the icons?

Player search and linkshell/Free Company lists also do not identify the class icons either if you hover the cursor over them, so for a new player just starting it, it could indeed be confusing.

And although most of the class icons are fairly obvious what they are, Job icons however can be far more obscure or abstract, especially if you're unfamillar with traditional FF Jobs (like, how many non-FF fans would know what the SMN icon is meant to be? It's meant to be it's hat, a horn which SMNs often have as headwear, or, in the case of one FF game, as an actual physical trait), so I agree with the OP that this would be a helpful addition to the game for new players.
