I got the 30 day trial of WTFast so I don't let our static down, so I guess for me SE have 30 days to fix it otherwise I may have to take a break until the issue is resolved.

I'm running the trial for WTFast it's helped but like I said I've been 90king like mad since the 17th. (I started using WTFast like a day or two after 2.1 hit) And I'm still getting severe rubber banding of 5-10 seconds. My ping spikes are horrific lol but it'd be worse without it. We're talking about 700 ping spikes in like 5 hours without and like 300+ even with WTFast D:
I'm in southern california which I've been hearing the west coast has been getting the crap-end of connection issues.
And just now it took over 1 minute for the summoning bell in the inn to respond to my attempt to interact with me e_e;

At least im not the only one. At first i thought it was my isp provider so i called them up and they said my connection was fine.
Ever since 2.1 ive had spikes where my screen would freeze momentarly for about 2seconds and then everything catch up. (This can prove deadly in many instances.)
Also the dozens of 90ks i get a day just tops it off. Never had any problems in 2.0
Verizon user here. Had the same problems of lag and rubber banding. The game also became unplayable for me until I subbed for a 3rd party service. I mean if you have the excess cash then I say experiment and try out a service until they fix things on their end. I mean it sucks to go that route but it's kinda all we can do at this point.
Yeah I've been getting this bad as a PS3 (optimum) user. The one thing I'll note that has helped if feasible is to hard wire your connection to your router. I'll still get the rubber band lag spikes but instead of 5-10 sec variety it'll be only 2-3 secs. It would be great if we could have an alternative like these VPN's. Maybe by some miracle they'll be fixing this in 2.1.5, but I'm not holding my breath.
If you have a laptop I think it is possible to use a VPN Connection for your PS3 (not on PS3 so I'm just going on a hunch here)
Might need to have 2 Ethernet ports on your laptop though. Have a quick search online because it might be possible.
