The inability to ALT+TAB needs changed!

I shouldn't have to run the game in windowed mode if I want to be able to do other things on my computer. I should simply be able to hit ALT+TAB and go about my business on my computer during game downtime. I love the immersion of full-screen gaming and don't feel like I should be forced to search for alternatives to allow my game to be tabbed out of. The crash that occurs when you tab out does not even make any sense, and I feel like I'm back in 2002 playing FFXI again.

Please, step it up. This is such a simple change!

3rd party programs can do it... some are even programmed by 1 person... in their spare time.. for no money... is that not prove enough?

If they're anything like Windower for FFXI, which of course I never used because that is a third party app, then those programs break after every update and need a new version to be released.

Seeing as FFXIV needs a ridiculous amount of updating, I think "Official Windower Support" can probably take the #2 spot on the list of priorities.

There is a FFXIV windower that got shut down during beta. Still works flawlessly.

POL Updates are actually what tended to create a need for Windower updates. For those that were concerned about the temptation of cheating they had Windower Lite which just did the windowing/graphics tweaking. I've used it for years and the game looks soooooo much better it's literally crazy not to use it.

For SE not to be able to program a simple borderless windowed mode is honestly shameful.

I have used Shift Window from day one and have never needed to update it after FFXIV gets an update so it would be a sad day if SE do not have a programmer available to them to come up something similar that can force fullscreen while in windowed mode.

No every update does not break the windower is still strong even with the update they had.

Reason why people use Windower for FFXI
1# 100x better then FFXI windower less lag and the tools for it did not hack the game. The only thing it did show you other tps which ffxiv been doing from day 1 at least showing you when they have full TP.

FFXIV 3 party windower:

You can go full screen which mean you can now use your crossfire video cards and still use alt/tab sorry but if SE can't do it and someone did then they need to fire everyone in the team and get new people again.

Fullscreen windowed is functionally the exact same thing as normal windowed is, you lose Crossfire not being true fullscreen. The only difference is fullscreen windowed is immobile and covers everything, windowed is still only a 2-3px border at the top of my monitor so barely any actual difference.
