The inability to ALT+TAB needs changed!

3rd party programs can do it... some are even programmed by 1 person... in their spare time.. for no money... is that not prove enough?

That just makes a Windowed Fullscreen, which is a good thing. BUT!

SLI does work windowed, just performance isn't as good as full screen. Crossfire only works in full screen.

so it's a problem half-solved. If they want to resolve the thing, they have to consider a case with Fullscreen on.
That means: If I Fullscreen the sh*t out of my game with his native resolution ・ If I Fullscreen the sh*t out of my game at half the resolution.
I believe those are two different cases, because in one you have your native resolution without changes, and with the other you have to render the image to Fullscreen at half the resoultion, then switch back to your native one once ALT+TAB is been pressed.

Thats actually not Full Screen though.... Its just what it says... Borderless windowed mode
For immersion purposes there is no perceived difference...
But in all other aspects, it is still windowed mode...
I use the borderless window script though.... Its useful

Actually, in this case, we do. It's fairly well-documented how to change to/from windowed/exclusive mode in DX9.

Funny, I can alt+tab any of their PC games that isn't FFXI/FFXIV.

I know it isn't ideal but there is a program called Shift Window that can be used to force FFXIV into Fullscreen so no borders while in Windowed mode. Google it and give it a try until SE can sort this out, that is if they ever sort it out.

I haven't tried this yet but I've used Shift Window for other games such as League of Legends and it works well. So I recommend at least giving it a go.

There are already Programs out there that allow this sort of feature to happen specificly for xiv (Which still work even after all the patchs we've had!) so i dont think this is a uber burden on the workload altho mabey im wrong so i do wonder why it wasnt already included, mabey its just a japanese thing :x.~
