    Hmmm.... really?

    Myth counts:
    Hard dungeon roulette for 2 days = 2 x 90 = 180. If I got old WP/AK = 2 x 70 = 140
    CT 2-3 times to nab loot = 3 x 50 = 150
    Coil T1-4 (usually skipped T3) = 3 x 50 = 150

Total = 480 myths. Already surpassed 450 weekly limit. lol
Or 440 myths? I spammed primal X fights whenever I have free time. Easy. lol

Oh... Philos for darklights? Already complete set on all 9 DoW/DoM. Usually just buy sets of mats to sell again. lol

Beast tribe dailies? Again, completed both Amaljaa & Sylphs equally (3 - 3 daily) in 45 days since Day1 of patch 2.1 released.

    Anything else I forgot? lol

Check my achievement page at lodestone site if you don't believe me. lol

    So... what's left really?

I could see the sense in making beastmen quests stack like leves, because it doesn't change much for the casual vs. hardcore player. Everyone gets the same amount of kicks at the can.

But roulette is there specifically to help people that need to get through dungeons. Your reward for helping is tomes and bonus exp. Changing that so you can run a week's worth on a Saturday defeats that purpose.

The daily caps on stuff like Roulettes and Tribe quests don't bother me at all.

What really gets under my skin is the weekly limits on CT, Coil, and Myth. They conflict with what's supposed to be a core attraction and mechanic of the game, the armory system. I'm tired of being "punished" for playing DRG. DRG is the one job I really like (since the changes from 1.23 anyway) but it's not always welcome or needed. Plus, I'm the kind of player who likes to try everything out at least once and part of what kept in XI for so many years was being able to freely level AND GEAR all the jobs (plus experimenting with crazy stuff like WHM/BST soloing, which was surprisingly effective).

Not in this game though. I have everything at 50, but the only job I have really geared for (current) ' end game' is DRG. I've recently been trying for tank drops in CT, though it's not enough - for the most part, if you aren't both experienced and iLv80, you aren't getting into any PF groups for EX primals or Coil (not on Excalibur anyway). Oh, but what's this? I can't possibly farm more gear for my BLM, WHM or PLD to be useful to my FC or Coil Static as something other than DRG in any reasonable time frame because of stupid weekly caps. In the time it'd take to get all that gear, the next patch and tier of equipment will have come along anyway and so suddenly I'm stuck in the exact same predicament all over again, only perhaps maybe with the option of going with a different starting class this time.

At the same time, if they do remove all the lockouts, then failings of vertical gear progression come to bear in full - people just spam what little content there is at the end and are left with nothing to do. This is why I've been railing against the devs for days now in various topics. XI may not have been perfect, but it did a damn good job of keeping my interest for years and not because drops were horrible or the game was too hard. If this is where the MMO market is staying, see ya - Destiny's out in September. Maybe Tanaka wasn't so crazy after all.

It's to make the content last.

I'm ok with it. I haven't run out of things to do yet in FFXIV.

In terms of beast tribe quests, that isn't progress, it's more of a sidequest. As for the duty roulette daily bonuses for those who log on every day, that's exactly what it is, a bonus for logging on. They aren't punishing you for not logging on, they are simply rewarding those who can. Philos are ridiculously easy to grind now anyway.

All you get from the dailies are some mounts. I don't see what's so heartbreaking about not being able to log in every day to do them on a schedule. You'll just get the mount a bit more slowly than the people who do log in every day. This is such a dumb thing to cry about.

If this is how it really is going to be then I'm disappointed in dailies altogether.

I do not see a problem with how the dailies work. You can easily kill 'two birds with one stone' by doing the dailies while waiting on a queue to pop. I tend to queue up for PvP matches while doing my dailies, which is a perfect choice because the queue can be either long or super short. You can queue up in PvE gear, join the fight, and switch to PvP gear with all your cooldowns reset before the match begins. People who like to do roulettes could queue up for those while doing the dailies, too. There are tons of things you can do at once. The dailies don't take long at all. Sometimes I feel like people are just looking for things to complain about. =/ It's not like you get amazing gear or anything from the dailies... just an aesthetic mount.

I want to enjoy this game to its fullest without having to sacrifice other things in my life like friends, family, work etc. But you are right! Good lord...what is wrong with me?!

There is a difference between something being hard to acquire, and something just being time consuming. I am not complaining about skill difficulty. YOU want things to be time consuming simply so that you can get things you can rub in other peoples faces because they don't invest as much time in a game as much as you do. The problem here is that people like you are convinced that they are entitled to more because they don't mind the brainless repetition. If i cleared content, and proved I have the skill to clear it, why should YOU be the one rewarded just because you cleared it more times?
