I know there must be a trillion threads about this but Im honestly tired of randomly dying to a WoE I dodged...and my body being on the far side of the arena...

I dont know why its this particular AoE skill that is only truly affected by latency issues...
But as of now I tired of trying to beat titan ex.

I could propose a solution to this but it would ned up in "duh get better at dodging".
To which I reply...I dodge what I see...Im always 100% out of the aoe range and even then i get hit...Guess I need to foresee the future or something.

Maybe make teh aor range of it smaller by a tiny bit...or hell increase the cast duration by 0.5 seconds..something has to be done to address the latency issues of WoEs.

I'm pretty sure it was my connection being slow, but I have the exact same problem for Extreme mode. Even with sprint up as SMN all the plumes hit me and I die at the edge of the arena lol its nuts. The thing is I then tried HM just to see, and I kill it just fine, no issues. It's only in EX mode where I experience that latency issue.

To be honest the latency is most noticeable in EX yes, but its still there on HM as well and Im pretty sure regular titan ahs the same issues...
Im on my 5th relic fight and Im tired of having parties wipe (sometimes because of me) due to WoE's damages...and in extreme mode its easier to die to woes..not because they are harder to dodge...but because if the party isnt perfectly stacked one on top of the other..that extra inch of range gets you hit when running away...

SOMETHING has to be done about this particular AoE as it seems to be the ONLY thing that hits despite you dodging it.

This is purely hearsay, but people have said that if they queue somewhere other than Mor Dhona that the lag isn't bad.

Don't know why I would recommend such a red herring, but it's something to try, right?

Have you tried a VPN yet? (pingzapper, wtfast, battleping)

Don't get me wrong, I want them to fix this so we don't have to be using a VPN, but this has solved the problem for a lot of people.

What has helped me immensely is using an instant ability the moment I cross the edge of a plume. I went from dodging about 50% of them to effectively 100% of them. The only ones I get hit by now are because of bad plume placement and just being too slow in my reaction.

I disagree and think this game has quite a few challenging boss fights. I do agree with you about the lag though. It's BS when a little bit of latency can make a fight impossible for you.

I too fall victum to lag related death only on Titan. EX is driving me nutz.

It's also detered me from leveling another job because I do NOT want to have to do Titan HM again....

Marzapan there are some MMO VPN services that provide trials and things like that.
