Unable to complete 'My Little Chocobo (Maelstrom)

Steps:Collected quest 'My Little Chocobo'
1. Collected 2000 storm seals
2. turned in storm seals for chocobo insurance
3. talked to Fraegeim<Chocobokeep>
4. watched cutscene
5. attempted to name chocobo.
6.After click the chocobo my icons flash, my character looks at the chocobo, but no prompt or anything happens. Chocobo is selected but nothing progresses past this point.

<additional notes>
This is technically my second attempt at the chocobo quest, both times I tried changing jobs, switching zones and returning, logging out and back in, I even foolishly abandoned the quest expecting some sort of a reimbursement (the insurance or the 2000 seals) of course when you abandon the quest you lose everything so I'm also short 2000 seals. I recently collected another 2000 seals and the quest still doesn't let name the chocobo. My alternate character Luthrid Tilldrop has his chocobo and didn't have any problems. (same server)

There was an earlier post on this problem (1/13/14 6:09 AM). Six different players posted on that thread. This is now the seventh player to post. I am hopeful that this very annoying problem gets some attention soon.

I'm also having the same problem.

Attempted the My Little Chocobo quest last night and was unable to name the Chocobo. It seems like quite a few people have been similarly affected by this bug.
