    Ifrit Hard Mode Stun DR

Hit 50 this morning on my Paladin, decided to get my Ifrit glowstick. So jumped into Ifrit HM with the knowledge I'd be stunbotting.

And discovered i could only Stun two Eruptions then he goes immune with the third Bash onwards doing nothing.

Did they change something, or has it always been this way?
For the record, I've cleared the fight dozens of times over several classes, Including WAR, so i know not to stun plumes.
As far as i knew, a PLD stunning only Eruptions could do so indefinitely. Was i wrong?

They changed how the DR timers work. It used to be within one minute of the first action (in this case stun) so you could stun and regardless of how many times you stunned after that DR would reset after one minute. Now it's one minute from last action. Not sure if the timer resets if the stun is resisted because of DR though. Also, others attempting to stun because they think you're missing them doesn't help either.

Hrm. Both times had Dragoons and Monks in party. LS and SP are often used as part of rotations, so it could just have been that. Thanks ^^

Basically DR works like this: Every application within 60s from the previous reduces the duration by half. So you'll see 100%, 50%, 25%, resisted. In 2.0 the DR timer was based on the FIRST application of stun, now in 2.1 its based on each successful application meaning when that last 25% stun lands your 60s starts over necessitating a 60s gap between the last and first "fresh" stun. If that makes sense. To my understanding fully resisted stuns do not effect the DR timer applying multiple stuns at once also does not.

If you only got off two stuns then he went immune then someone else had stunned him. Most likely a DRG/MNK/WAR using their stun for dmg as is probably habitual.

I'm sorry if this is a basic question, but what does DR stand for?

Meaning each time you apply stun you get less in return until you get nothing (full resist).
