I gotta respect Tanaka's older games, I really do, but I think he just got caught up in the whole "let's do something different" phase, and rejected most things that have been done before. I like new, I like fresh, but I also like functionality. I don't honestly think he's in charge still. In fact, I kind of hope that he's still there giving advice, with yoshida taking the reigns and making the big decisions. But that's me.
