    Fun SMN skill ideas

    This isn't really a suggestion thread and I don't expect any of this to be implemented in the game but if you could of been on the design team and come up with some skills for smn what would you have like to have.

    I think instead of tri-disaster (not sure how that skill even fits in with our lore) it would of been cool to have a 30 second buff where you can have two summons out at the same time. Yes enkindle would work for both but at a slight dps decrease, rouse and spur would also effect both but at half potency.

    And another fun idea for a lvl.50 skill would be for 30 seconds you summon a more powerful egi version of the 3 we have now (that would more closely resemble the actual primal) that comes out on the field and does what it normally does but what a separate set of attacks. You could use enkindle on this summon as well but doing so would also banish the pet afterwards (my idea of a real ultimate attack). maybe even make this skill only unlockable with you have relic equipped because that book contains the knowledge needed to summon something stronger and the book can only be handled by those with great power but because your still a novice you can't control it for very long. Having relic+1 would add 10 seconds to the summon duration

    For the limit break I would of had something like 1 bar you summon ifrit who breaths fire. 2 bars would be titan landing on the boss and doing earth fury. 3 bars would be garuda doing her enkindle move.

    Again I know the lore says we can't actually summon the primals but this is just for fun and in fantasy land I don't enjoy limits being placed on my chars power simply for the sake of having them

    Not really worrying about cooldowns or specific numbers or anything cause like I said it's just for fun. These are just my ideas for a couple skills that would make me feel more focused on playing with the actual summons rather then focusing on DoTing

    I'd rather see practical adjustments to our current abilities:

    - Ruin II damage increase (100-120 potency?)
    - Increase Ifrit's damage or change how his damage is calculated
    - Change Radiant Shield from self cast to usable on a target party member
    - Increase the range of Flaming Crush and shorten the recast time
    - Change Bane's 15% chance of resetting DoT timers to 15% of not consuming an aetherflow stack
    - Increase duration of enhanced pet actions from 9s to 15s, speed increased from 20% to 25%
    - Tri-disaster effect changed to anything other than bind

    -A skill that summons a pet that looks more like the actual primal is likely considering where getting Leviathan and another skill since every pet came with a new skill. As to how a later skills go around buffing our pet than that's not out of the question.
    -Being able to Summon out two pets at once is likely because generally pet classes in other MMO's can summon out 2 pets at higher lvls but it'll be at the expense of MP cost lowering your overall damage.

    I don't see Square making adjustments to the Summoner's base abilities since they are adding new pets with each new primal and they have to balance everything around that. Ie Leviathan adding aoe burst to Summoners.

    it would be awesome to have the 3 egi's summoned at the same time, just for few seconds, or have a rotation like ultima weapon, summoners ultimate weapon with egis hehehe

    If I had it my way... I would just scrap the whole summoner skill set and replace the dots with more interesting pet interactive commands. So it plays more like, ya know, a summoner. Or maybe more support spells to buff and make summons more powerful. As it stands, summons to me are more of a gimmick. As an entity themselves, they are kind of weak and you don't really interact with them all that much. 90% of the time I am just keeping up dots and spamming Fester or Bane. I have always loved playing a Summoner class, but this is the first time I regret starting as one so severely. Now that's off my chest... Yeah, Tri-Disaster really is a disaster of a spell and Ruin II could do with a damage buff or something. I liked all of Ardan's points. Those would be welcome changes.
