Is it ok playing with 150-160 ping?

I don't have any problem about avoiding AoEs but I'm new player.So I don't know too much about endgame PvP or Raids.It's seems playable right now.Does it affect my playstyle later? Thanks.

Have you done Titan HM/EX yet?

If you can dodge plumes: OK

If you can't dodge plumes, but on your screen it looks like you did: Time to try a VPN

I have done Titan only in Story quest.Dunno it was HM or EX but It was easy.
I'm already using WTFast.Without it my ping is around 210-230.I live in Turkey.It's a pretty long distance compared to other EU countries so there is not much option for me.I ill try Titan HM/EX later then.

That was normal mode. HM is Hard Mode and EX is Extreme Mode, you can only do them after you finish the main story.
But you don't have to wait until those fights to determine whether your connection is an issue or not: if you often get hit by AoE even though you were out of the danger zone on your screen, then you have a problem. If not, everything is fine. If you use WTFast, you shouldn't have a problem.


VPN is a virtual private network and should have the same effect as WTFast should have (and much more that is not related to gaming). If WTFast doesn't work, you could also try other similar services, personally i use Battleping.

And i still think it can't be that it's necessary to use (and pay for) such a service just to be able to play the game in a meaningful manner, when no other game ever made something like this necessary.

My ping is around there, playing from Asia connecting to JP server, if I get hit it's because I was slow not lag, so yeah it's fine.

Thank you and yes you are right.It's a shame,It would be good If EU servers placed in EU.Dunno why SE did something like this but this is frustrating for players like me.Unfortunelly I have to pay for extra something from now.I hope they fix this issue soon.

My ping its 260, and i can dodge without problem almost everything =P, and my problem cant be fixed using a vpn, becouse i have like 18 jumps or more with all the servers XD (welcome to Argentina).

that ping is ok to play FF14 with, you can dodge anything perfectly, 300+ would make things only harder
