Clarify things such as strategy and loot protocol before entering the instance.
If a player is harassing others, use the in-game vote to kick option, or just leave.
Keep it moving.
There is no reason to get in an argument. Point blank, period.

When stuff like that happens, you gotta stand up for yourself. Point out that that awful bard kept dying, and just tell it like you saw it: he was butthurt because he wanted exclusive rights to a drop. There isn't exactly a dearth of bards so a crappy one with no manners can be replaced.
Bards have the easiest time surviving. Just saying.
I treat most players with a little caution and a lot of patience during any PUG runs and I've had parties like this that have insisted That I or another player was seriously under performing and required replacement. The simplest and quickest way to deal with any group that turns sour is either leave or in the case that you are leading, suggest that those that don't agree with your decision to stay or have the other player/s stay can leave and you will happily replace them.
Nothing justifies any of such attitudes, no matter if your DPS is low or not low, if you are bad or good or extremely bad or extremely good. People that do not want to run the risk to run into *bad* people shouldnt register in DF, if they do, they accept what comes, no matter what.
Nothing, no matter what, nothing ever justifies any kind of insult or segregation or or or, that mentality is what kills most of the game. Not everybody knows, not everybody can even, not everybody is the best of the best, the oddity isnt you, no matter if you were or were not guilty, the oddity are those that point fingers, demean, and insult, they should be expelled and never let into the game ever again...but that is me..I am kidn of brutal, even extreme for some stuff.
Mei the dumbest player in all FFXIV
The longer I play the game the more toxic the community becomes. I'm hoping when "the next big mmo" comes out all the s**theads leave, otherwise I'll have to leave!
Really sad to hear that. I've mostly had luck with random groups but yeah a good FC or LS goes a long way to avoiding that. I haven't even touched the EM primals simply because I want to enjoy it with the FC ppl. Hell I only got into coil for the first time this weekend with a FC group. We had fun, kept wiping on cad all the time but beat it in the end. Even had a few randoms there and they were patient and helpful. I do run DRlow usually once a day for one of my other classes/jobs and seems to go somewhat good but do hit an occasional odd one out. Best advice at that point is to ignore said person. And I never point fingers at anyone ever. Usually the party will figure it out that we lack DPS or healing or anything and agree to drop out and reassemble. But we never focus on just one person.
Hopefluy you'll stick around and not let idiots sour your game time.
I think the problem is, you should have left before they continue to upset you
So many, lost count, infinite, amount of badass around who would say things to upset you
And at the end of the day, they might even be Ex buyers
I wonder if we can have an expanded blacklist, and players in blacklist can't be paired. I'd happily add every douchebag I've ever met to my blacklist if it meant never playing with them ever again, even if it meant longer df qeueuing
