There's one lesson you should take away from this..

    Run your own parser.

That way, you have evidence of what's really happening with the damage, instead of being forced to believe what someone else says.

There's one constant among the idiots that play this game and fail everything they try, they always try to blame someone else. It's up to you to protect yourself and know what's really going on. It saves a lot of time and stress, and gives you sufficient ammunition to remove problem players from your groups.

I understand your frustration. People are assholes, immature and quite stupid generally. There's nothing you can do man. Just suck it up and take the high road.(or if you are really pissed go out in a blaze of glory) One of my main complaints about this game is the players that play it.

You must have had terrible luck with pugs because that kind of attitude was far from common, at least during the past 4+ years or so. If it was agreed beforehand (in chat, where it's logged and can thus be looked into by GMs) how the loot rules would work and then they went back on their word after a kill, you could easily report it. Blizzard GMs are lightning fast with flattening accounts with the banhammer for things like ninja looting when it can be proven. There aren't too many people willing to risk their account over a piece of loot.

Speaking of reporting things in WoW, here's a fun fact: Did you know that if you report a bot (that turns out to actually be a legit bot and not someone you thought was botting) that it's gone in like an hour or two? Yeah, I know, absolutely amazing.

I find party finder groups terrible and less friendly then DF randoms, often not even better. The only advantage is possible superior party set-ups.

Could not have said it better myself.

Here is the thing, and please don't take offence to it. Most BLMs preform a bit low against Titan and Ifrit Ex. Not because the job is bad or the player is bad, but because the two fights for a BLM experience is a big factor. The more you know about the fight, the better you do. I can't say if your damage was low or not, not sure if they were just outright lying. Only you can test it and know for sure. Typically, in Ifrit and Titan you are suppose to do 20%+ of the total damage to be with everyone else. From what I have seen, geared or not, inexpedience BLM will struggle to achieve 15%. However, I can assure with experience and the right reaction to it, you will be doing respectable amount of damage.

Good Luck, and don't let such silly players ruin your own fun.

My favorite is the two/three strike rule. Where was all of this almost a month ago when everyone was just starting out on the new content? Its why new players are going to get shafted when it comes to the harder content, more prominently with Extreme Primals.

TC, don't let Party/Duty Finder groups ruin your fun. They might be in the majority but you have an FC that seems to care and enjoy running with you.

I said it before and will say it again.FF14 has one of the worst if not the worst community there possibly can be.It doesnt affect me at all since i have my own FC and raid grp to do thgins but on those odd days where i try to help others with joining random dungeons or via party finder i see how toxic and unfriendly the players are towards new players who just want to learn the fights and boy i do feel for them. The funny thing is that those "elitist" players are always worse than the new guys who even tho they have no clue about a certain fight still perform better overall(less deaths, better adaptation to random situations).

Unfortunately a big part of the attraction of an MMOs is for people to lord over other players. People have high standards and short tempers, they can't cut anyone slack because within their delusions of grandeur they cut themselves no slack (even though they do). It's just a self fulfilling prophecy and an unfortunately common attitude. I mean look at all these people in the thread unable to believe the OP's story that he got unfairly dogpiled, as if such things are so unheard of, but bad players ... that's gotta be it no one would just make that up right? No one would just insist you're bad without having the understanding or facts, right?! If someone called this guy bad he must be bad, when I call people bad they're bad, so it's gotta be that.

It becomes a sort of selective memory, oh if the BLM had bad DPS a few runs back, be sure to bring that up. Never apologize for how many plumes you ate on the last run, always downplay your own mistakes. It's just really unfortunate because it's the ACTUAL bad way to play, gameplay mistakes really can be easily fixed, but these kind of behavioral issues cannot be easily fixed. Best bet is to disregard/kick/ignore these people the second you see a hint of this behavior.

Eh I'm going to disagree with you there. I see a lot of great behavior and have really fun runs. It's all a matter of luck and attitude.

Just remember that those elitist douches are really 40 year old men with acne living in their mother's basements...

Clarify things such as strategy and loot protocol before entering the instance.
If a player is harassing others, use the in-game vote to kick option, or just leave.
    Keep it moving.

There is no reason to get in an argument. Point blank, period.
