Getting bullied out of your own party sure is fun

Today, I just got to Ifrit Extreme Mode and went to Party Finder to get a party together to beat it. First party did well, we got to the phase after nails, but healers died RIGHT before nails were down and after that, folks left. Next party I got was seemingly ok, until we got in there.

From the beginning a BRD said that if anyone else rolled on the piece he wanted he was gone, and I commented that that was rude and that people should be allowed to roll on something if they want it. Needless to say, the rest of the fight didn't go well. I was distracted (I don't remember what by) and ate an eruption due to dodging too late. The griefing began about how I need to "learn to not be bad", to which I defended myself. After the party failed to beat the third nail phase (keep in mind I had gotten past it before, and had someone running a parser before that said our DPS was fantastic), they proceeded to tell me that I was the reason for the fail. That my DPS was somehow HALF of the other BLM in the group, even though we had the same gear and used the same rotation for everything.

They said "well you have one more shot or we're going to have to replace you"....in my party, that I started. I gave it another shot and got told that I had to leave because I was killing the party, was bad, and that another DPS was ready already to replace me (this was the BRD, and the healers and tank obliged him as well, and added to the grief). Keep in mind too that the BRD, as awesome and amazing as he was, died multiple times during the times we attempted, as did other players, which also doesn't help DPS during nails whatsoever. I wound up dropping party and turning off the game, telling my FC that I may be quitting (there's a lot more to that then just the game, I have a ton of personal stuff going on and the game happens to be my bastion of sanity), thank god for my FC, (SeeD, by the way), who backed me and took the time to hash it out with me.

I have never, ever experienced this volatile behavior to this degree in any other MMO I've played. The level of elitism and all around bad attitude, is honestly, a plague. I'm not sure what others experiences are, but I'm quite taken aback by it to be honest. I have since gone into another Ifrit EX party I made, and got told again that my DPS was fine and where it should be. The bullying in this game is beyond asinine, and people act like they run the game and can treat people like utter garbage just because they don't like them.

tl;dr, I know....but I had to get it out there, because it's been bugging me all day. I am so tired of the "This isn't a winning party" (saw that a lot during Titan), or "Anyone got a parser running?" after a wipe on EX mode primals (not due to heart or anything like that, but gaols and stuff, and funny thing, peoples actual DPS wasn't the issue, the issue was them just pushing themselves not enough). It's really becoming completely unenjoyable to play this game. Even in CT there's full FC Alliances that go around trolling and wiping the raid because it's funny, so even easier content is abysmal to attempt sometimes.

Sorry to hear about your experiences. This is exactly why I am avoiding DF and PF for Extreme Primals (I have yet to clear Titan EM). I'd rather run it with friends from my FC or Linkshells. Too much high standard drivels going on in both DF and PF.

It's the nature of the Internet. Behind the anonymity of it, we throw away what makes us human, and start treating each other like dirt.

Well this looks from one-side perspective, to understand it more we have to know what the rest of the 7 really thinks on which part you screwed up the whole team.

Sometimes it takes self conscious and humility to understand your own mistakes and if you are really letting the team down. If I kept dying in the team and the team loses, I don't mind taking the blame and getting the boot despite I actually know that I have beaten the fight before.

Just move on and take my advice --> best is just don't talk too much when you join a team, practically be a ghost player in the team so that you don't stand out too much to prevent others from observing you so closely for every mistake you made.

I've had a similar situation myself, it really bums you out. What I've started to do with new encounters is that I either df for practice or I start a pf party made for practicing. You'd be surprised how many people want to practice fights because a lot of people is in the same chair as you are.

By standing up for players and making myself have a voice, it made me a target. But this really isn't an acceptable excuse. I even got told by a guy after "its obvious you know the fight, and that you know what you're doing....I don't know what their issue was with you".

    that sux

That's disgusting behavior Its a shame others can act that way if they didn't like you or were sick of the dying they should feel free to leave bringing other players down isn't going to help them get through content it will just make people play worse not to mention make the game unenjoyable. I know people want to get through content but having no paitence and being rude helps no one and is absolutely disgusting. if i caught my son doing that he would be grounded for a week no way i'm having that.don't let these people win call them out on the forums, blacklist them let the community know who they are people should make a stand let them no we wont put up with that behavior in this game only way to deal with it.

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. It's only a game, but someone telling you that you're bad at something when you're really trying hard can cut deep. As someone already mentioned however, this is the nature of the internet. There are many sore losers out there who are quick to blame anyone, but themselves.

I will always blame myself for a wipe, every single time; because even if I didn't cause the wipe, perhaps there was something I could have done to prevent it or perhaps I didn't give good enough instructions? Whatever the reason for the wipe, I'll do my best to correct it.

Why has the OF turned into a "someone was mean to me let me post my story so you can all feel bad for me" type of place?

If the bard had a bad attitude you should have left. That's it.

Really sucks stuff like this happens but my only advice is to try to do as much as possible with your friends and stick with friendly FC or LS. The more you know people the better your relationship with them, the better you work together, forgive mistakes, you ask me this radiates off people when they are friendly and helpful, this is why I'm and always will be against DF or PF. Even when it comes to helping new people I see more help from a friendly FC then kind random strangers in DF or PF. Not to say everyone who uses these are jerks but it's where they are always found the most.
