I've made like 400-500k since 2.1 doing dailies and spirit binding from the treasure hunt stuff everyday. It's really not hard to make 120k now.

The cost of the mount being 120,000 Gil is extremely reasonable. That is exactly on target as to what it should be. Learn to pick your battles son!

120k seems rather reasonable with the addition of mobs dropping gil in dungeons, dailies, and treasure hunting. (along with things like leves which are another daily source of income)

Given it is vanity, you are really only paying 50k and time for it which is reasonable. The story content is thin at best, 1piece every 10 days really?! (I digress)
You make 70k on the average for the dailies it takes to get rank 4 stacking (90k splitting).

120 000 gil is not a big amount for one's 8th mount (and 9th). It's not like they have anything more than different appearance or give any special abilities to the rider. Get them if they are worth it to you, or don't.

290K for both mounts and both minions is a hefty sum, but it's not like gil has any use in this game anyway, so why not spend a little of it on these luxury items?

Honestly, 120k isn't that much. I'm not super rich or anything (truuuuust me), and I do not think 120k is that difficult to earn ... especially considering how long it takes to get Rank 4 reputation in the first place.

Yeah, it's really not that much. I don't even actively try hard to make money and I've made 200k in two weeks just selling lowbie dungeon drops and stuff I've crafted doing my crafting log (along with money received from dungeons, etc). I don't spend money on much other than repairs and teleports.

120K Gil for a mount in this game..is...not that bad.

On the other hand..housing...I don't know man..WTF purpose does it serve.
If you need to roleplay that bad that you have to log on to a virtual world and then....sit in a rather empty virtual house....alarms go off in my head as to whether you are going to lock me in your basement if i ever encounterd you randomly.

I have to be careful not to make too much money on for fear of having my accoun locked and swept by the RMT witch hunt ravaging the player base....how the seven hells am I to be expected to make the sort of disposable income to throw at a 120k steed.
