i have a problem with PVP as PLD

My question is: better PLD or Gladiator with his vaste choice of secondary skills? I really need help becouse i don't really know how to be significative in the match. Which skills are better to use and rotate? ç___ç

and in which skills i should invest my action points?

Paladin is absolutely the better choice. Spirits Within (300 potency off-GCD silence), Cover, Sword Oath, Hallowed Ground if you get low. I think the only job that benefits from dropping to a base class is Warrior seeing as it has too many skills linked to Defiance, a tanking stance.
    • Shield Bash is your #1 skill, use it liberally and to full effect. You can get three stuns off before diminishing returns kick in (6s/3s/1s). Rotate it on other players as needed until DR sheds later in the match
    • Flash should be used against melee for the blind it applies. 12s/6s/3s? of improved miss chance is great when you're protecting a player being focused
    • Spirits Within can be saved for burst opportunities or when you're locking down a healer under the effects of Equanimity/Surecast
    • Shield Lob against distant enemy casters and interrupting casts. It'll take some timing to get it right since the weaponskill has a travel time before damage is applied

Further on the point of interrupting casts: Paladin is amazing at locking down a healer, but you have to understand animation delay before damage is applied. Skills like Fast Blade/Fracture all apply the damage immediately, whereas Spirits Within/Rage of Halone have long wind-up times and are very hard to reliably interrupt with.

The way to be significant in a match as a Paladin is to intercept burst attempts with Cover/Testudo and Blind/Shield Bash, rotate stuns on priority targets and keep their healer from freecasting/doing anything.

Action points can be spent based on your playstyle. Do you play offensively? Then you'd want Full Swing and Full Swing III very early on in rank. Do you play defensively and reactively? Then Testudo and its upgrades would likely be your first purchases. Across all classes Purify should be your very first skill.

I play offensively and my flow was:
    - Purify > Full Swing > Testudo > Glory Slash > Full Swing III > Tetsudo II > Full Swing II > Testudo III > ?? > Enliven

Full Swing +20% immediately, Full Swing II can be obtained much later since it's usually purified during a burst call but I use it after a purify a lot to guarantee maximum up-time.
Enliven last since I use TP consumables, but Enliven itself is very good to use after sprinting when chasing a player.

thanks, and how i can max the damage? actually i have all wolf HQ + wolf rubellite access. which skills are better to keep in bar? i see rage of halone usually nearly impossible to use, i usually use shield bash, fast blade, savage blade and spirit within to deal damage.
fracture wroth to keep in bar?

Use your standard fending armor and then all striking/+STR accessories. If you use PvE gear, upgrade to warwolf from pieces that have only tanking stats like parry/accuracy (they're useless in arena). You also don't need the extra vitality as much as you do the strength, at least until the meta changes to where the tank is focused before others.

And skills.. all of them? Rage of Halone should be used for the combo bonus damage (+61%). As for cross-class the good ones are all clear cut: Mercy Stroke, Fracture, Stoneskin, Bloodbath. I don't change anything from my PvE build so Foresight is in there too.

I can't confirm if Foresight does anything in PvP but outside of that the only other option is Cure, which, while useful in theory, doesn't really have a place in the arena where you rarely get a chance to freecast it. Even while bubbled I would continue a combo over casting a Cure or two.
