Has anyone else ever gotten the same weapon from Twintania 5 out of 7 times?

So far our group got 5 monk weapons, 1 whm, 1 drg. We don't run a drg, so basically only 2 out of 8 steady raiders even have coil weapon that they can use towards future progression/main raid.

Okay I understand if it's like 3 of the same weapon dropping, but like 5/7 is a bit ridiculous. So like, drop rate for monk weapon is either exceedingly high or somehow 0.00169%? (1/9 ^ 5)

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It's really causing our raiders to not even feel motivated to bother with Coil anymore since we always get the same garbage from turn 1-4 when there's still many pieces that never dropped, like tank belt, tank earrings, tank neck, healing chest (It's been close to 4 month now and they've never dropped even once).

So? I've only seen a total of 4 Healer drops (and got two.. the earrings, and belt which is kinda useless..). Of which 3 are useless for me, as WHM. And that since mid-October.

It's just bad luck. Keep trying, you'll get something sometime.

EDIT: Just be glad you have overall more Healer drops than our FCs statics do. We get next to none, ever. You could have it a lot worse :/

I never enjoyed how easy things were to get from WoW after Wrath. I preferred Vanilla and BC. So please don't make random comments that doesn't help answer my question. Thanks.

Those odds are low, but they're not lottery winning low or anything. Stranger things have indeed happened; you've just had a run of bad luck. For example, I once had a 95% Gathering chance fail four times in a row. I literally facepalmed and actually laughed.

Another one would be this; I run Coil as a SCH and have done since we started back in September, though we don't have any Monks and I'm the only one who plays Monk at level 50, so any Monk items that drop are mine by default. We've run Coil every week since then and all I have to show for my Monk are the Allagan Trousers.

We also have a Bard that's been waiting on the Allagan Chest drop for a few months with nobody to compete with. It's just the way things go. You are however fortunate that you have a team that has Twintania on farm.

Looks like everyone in your static needs to start leveling monks.

On absurd RNG accidents, I've had the caster boots drop from T2 7 times.

the chance that you've seen it 5 times in 7 is very low.
1/9^5 * 8/9^2

the chance that you will see it 6 times in 8 assuming you've already seen it 5 times in 7 is just 1/9 however.

You got unlucky statistics is not against you.

I think T5 even though haven't beaten it yet, should have dropped tokens and take 5 tokens to buy a weapon because RNG is certainly not RNG.

Loot tables are just messed up in coil in general. SE tried to fix it with a maintenance sometime ago...yeah it didn't do anything anyhow. Kind of sucks your luck turned out that way. =<
