Seasonal Event head pieces and the armory chest?

Can all of the head pieces from the current event be put into the armory chest in the inn room or can only some? Not all of the xmas event stuff could go into the armory chest and is not taking up spots on a retainer.

Doesn't look like ya can. It's stupid that some seasonal items can and some can't....
