incorrect when you have 23 people and the 24th withdraws out of queue the duty finder puts you back at 23/24 waiting for 1 person with the same other 2 alliances. only time it will rebuild is if one of the alliances "premade" drops. when you see the duty finder go from 23/24 and then after a withdraw back to starting means people in the other alliance dropped from queue all together to prevent getting the same person thats withdrawing.

Sure I would, the devs would not. Trust me, I've tried reporting trolls and all I've gotten was automated 'players are free to engage or not engage monsters as they wish blahblahblah' response. The only time it seems they'll step in is if there is verbal harassment.

Right, so that's why I go from 23/24 to 9/24 or some other number /24.

It's a necessary evil to provide the flexibility needed for the system. I've sat through the chain withdraws too, but adding a ban or excessive cooldown is going to just punish generally honest players when extraordinary circumstances arise. IMO at least.

pray tell, what extraordinary circumstances is going to force someone to be a DB and withdraw 20,times a minute again?

And if the alliance behind you in the queue got a tank and fillled up while another tank was messing you around? They've just leapfrogged you.

I would hope there would be significant penalties.

It's not really a necessary evil. S.E needs to fix it asap. Withdraw syndrome makes everyone a sad panda. It's players taking advantage of the system to skip farming.

if thats the case and there are that many tanks queueing that the nano second it takes for the tank to drop queue then you should get one on the next queue pop.

Hmm, didn't quite expect 11 pages so soon.

I will have to agree with some that separating the queues would also be a viable solution. However, it's not a perfect one. There are certainly times where you'd want to search both for a fresh dungeon or in-progress one... either because you don't care or because you'd like to help out others who had a person drop, but wouldn't want to wait for that scenario only.

There exists no "extraordinary circumstance" in which my solution would punish honest players. You have to be quite deliberate to be punished by the system I suggest.

This, on the other hand, is an example of a poor solution that would punish honest players who happen to be in combat or some other situation where their timer may run out accidentally.
