So I wait 20 seconds, switch from BTN, lose all my GP then tank drops? Back to BTN, back to 0 GP.you can still do those things.... like i said before to someone else. Feel free to have the "need" to click the commence button the SECOND it pops or be smart and wait 10 seconds before you click. anyone withdrawing is gonna do it instantly... so you can still go on about your way till you see the queue pop stick..
2 groups of 23 people are queuing, waiting for one tank. Tank pops, instance is reserved, everyone accepts, tank drops. In the meantime a second tank queues, joins the second alliance, they go in, leapfrogging the first alliance.
Except they don't.
You're wrong. You refuse to see it because you don't want to see yourself as someone who jerks others around, but that's exactly what you're doing. Not only does it increase the chance that people will have to wait longer, it affects what they can do while they are waiting and not only that, it's just plain annoying to have it pop every 30 seconds and drop anywhere between 5-40 seconds later.

except they do... the whole point of looking for inprogress is to save time... a tank waiting 20seconds then dropping isnt saving time. and defeats teh whole purpose of doing an inprogress run.
But I can tell you from first hand experience, this is what many do. Perhaps they went for a drink, perhaps they were browsing netflix they and you are still jerking around 23 other people.
Except that it obviously isn't. The purpose of having the in progress tic box is for those players who are not only looking to do a full run but who are also willing to help out a group in trouble. You would be right if the tic box only sent you to an in progress run.
But in my view there is a more fundamental issue. So the poster defending repeated withdraws because he only needs loot boxes 3 and 4 and therefore only wants to run the last half of the dungeon is like defending tanks who only need loot boxes 1 or 2 so drop right after.
I mean, same thing, right? He is opening up a slot after all for a tank only looking for 3 or 4. Sure it might inconvenience others committed to the whole run, but who's to say they wouldn't still be waiting anyway if the first-half tank hadn't been there. I know, maybe we should have a first-half-of-the-run only tic box...

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
This. That's why you cant just select a dungeon and pick which bosses you want to fight. Some of these guys actually think that dungeon runs should be handed to them on a silver platter. So the poster defending repeated withdraws because he only needs loot boxes 3 and 4 so only wants to run the last half of the dungeon is like defending tanks who only need loot boxes 1 or 2 so drop right after.
