Concern--Party finder abuse, ilvl and seperation from newer/unexperienced players

A few problems I have concerns about:
FC's/Individuals/LS's selling EX mode instead of helping- Players dont gain experience, and people lose chances.

Solution: pls create some rule to help us be more of a community.

Players requiring ilvl's that are too high for progressing players. Seems the "high end" players are separating themselves.

Solution: Create a max Cap on ilvl requirement for certain dungeons, so that people dont filter out lower ilvls and halt any chances of progression.

    Longer discussion:
A look at Party Finder lately has been making me saddened on my server Ultros.
Requiring ilvl 75-80 for ilvl 61 Ultima.
Requiring ilvl 80-85 for Extreme modes; Garuda is ilvl65. etc etc.

I try and try again to promote * Helping * others, instead of selling help for Gil. This has been an epidemic since Extreme modes have come out.

I've been in ilvl 80+ groups that didn't kill 2 garuda sisters in time, and titan group that wipe because 1 person fail to dodge and the party cannot pass certain dps check, and ultima that didn't kill him in time and he cast the final wipe skill.

So I can understand those hight ilvl requirements. For a progressing party, since not every one is very well skilled, a high ilvl requirement can make some compensate.

While helping others is a very good thing, we can't force people to help others.
There is nothing wrong to form a quick farming party.

Then go ahead and form a party with minimum ilvl req to help each other? How is it abuse to want to form a party of like minded or even similar ilvl players? Heck, there's even an option for playing with high level gear when u register for a party in the party finder. All people are complaining about is now there are lower chances of being carried while using the DF anymore.

ilvl is the only thing Party finder has to filter ppl in lvl 19 rings ....still ppl will cheat and put pvp gear or gear for others jobs

the extremes have a gear check (latency check too) , no being able to kill sisters , adds in titan or hearth , nails in ifrit EX...ect

u can create your own Party for this dungeons too if u think others are asking for too much , and help ppl

Philo tomes and mooglemog alone would get you to 70+ and the myth you got along the way would get you pretty close to 80

If you want to join ultima in all hoplite gear you are the one who is being unfair, there is a fairly linear line of progression and you are attempting to skip it.

SE could not put a i70 cap on ultima because they are a business and shutting people out of content isnt a good business. But players can put that cap on themselves cos theyre not too bothered about upsetting a stranger by making them work a bit harder

You can get geared soooo fast these days, doing just CT after CT. So now the ilvl requirement is used for experience instead. Anything under 70 doesnt really say anything anymore as a casual new 50 could hit that in days. We've also seen a 50% increase in weekly myth tomes last (first) patch. Philo tomes are much easier to get and there's access to ilvl80 gear now.

So basically all the 70+ ilvl requirements does is ensure that the guy you're taking has at least 2 weeks of experience on his class. And since its so easy to gear, why wouldnt you take the guy with 70 over 60 (what is 60 anyway, a full haukke manor set!?)

Btw i dont get the whines about party finder. It's really easy to get a low ilvl / practice group up there for people to join, you just make your own. Looky there, now the party finder has the stuff you want.

The party finder was made to allow people to group within server and also that people can choose what they are looking for, so you can ask high iLVL or not.

Anyone can create a party. You set your rules, lower ilvl if you want, i am sure you would get people with high gear join anyway.

There are helpful people out there

I agree PFs let people be more elitist, but you can help by sticking to your own rules and supporting the type of PFs you want to see.

For example, I don't join any PF that has an ilvl requirement higher than the one in DF.

I wish the PF noted whether the ilvl requirement was higher than DF, so I could tell right away that I don't want to join that PF.

The Devs made the Party Finder feature so people COULD set what iLvl people they want to play with. This is a None Issue...
iLvl 75-80 for Ultima is more on Point than 61 ...
    Same with Extreme Mode Primals.

If you want to lead a group of under geared people through the HM and EX Mode content, be my guest. Just create a group via Party Finder like the rest of us.
