So I need to accept the views of anti-social and destructive people as well? Is that how community formed? Look I don't think everyone with a different view is wrong, but I do think some people are wrong. You obviously don't think anyone can ever be wrong and I'm sure you spend most of your time putting up with nasty abusive people in game because it would be contradictory to go on and on about how you should see things from everyone's point of view, but not expose yourself to the worst(I'm sorry, not worst, just different) the game has to offer. I don't want to play with or expose myself to those people, so I avoid them, simple.

And yet you try to lump in people who need for vanity, with people who need for anything else but progression. Vanity is a big part of RPGs, even if you yourself don't care for it or feel it's not as important. People like to look "cool" or whatnot, or like to have an item that looks neat to them. To many of these people, that can outweigh any stats it might give. It's why vanity systems get put into games.
