Attn: Devs - PS3 in combat L3 target lock

SE please, please, PLEASE give PS3 users the ability to disable the L3 and R3 buttons on the controller.

Many times in clutch situations I have accidentally pressed the L3 button and activated the target lock and it's ended with a party wipe.

As an example, in Titan HM while dogging Weight of the Land while under pressure to keep the party healed (after the heart phase), there have been several times I have accidentally clicked L3 and activated the target lock which causes me to get hit by a stack of plumes and die, usually ending in a party wipe.

Having spoken to several other PS3 players, they all complain about the same thing.

I have NEVER needed the target lock "feature", so please, please, PLEASE allow us to just turn it off.

sigh i'll say it, dont worry, you can set them so they not assigned to a command in the controller settings they updated it with the patch and we can focus target now too, welcome to final fantasy 14 2.15 sir

Well as you seem to know more about the 2.15 change than I would you mind explaining how to disable the L3 as I have searched through all the controller settings and cannot find a way to disable it.

Under the key binding options you'll find the target lock option. You should be able to turn it off that way. I'll double check in a bit.

I was looking in the wrong place under character configuration.

I found it under system configuration.

This made my freaking day!!!!!!

a better option would be to give us more control over the button mapping selections. right now even in 2.15 its piss poor. personally i hate auto run but i cant disable that. i dont like the right click menu showing up with the controller. i am on the pc btw. if i need a menu for something i can just easily grab the mouse which is faster in all cases anyways. SE let us set the controller how we see fit rather than forcing certain options to specific button slots only. i think it would be better if you went back to something like the origiannly ff used like a battle mode config / menu config etc.
