Both you and the 1 person to like your post seem to be missing that we've addressed this already. Unless you can name another game that is served out of the same data center, of course it's only going to affect this game, because it is routers leading to that datacenter causing the problem.
A problem exists with their product service, so it is their fault. Would you goto the grocery store, and buy spoiled fruits, and when you ask the manager about the spoiled fruits, he says "its not our problem, our vendor supplied them to us like that nothing we can do!"? They would probably (already have) losing customers.

Your analogy doesn't work. It would be more like an intersection on the way to the store is clogged because everyone uses it, so you complain to the store manager to fix it.

This thread is like watching the two of you talk to a brick wall. Maybe if they repeat "netcode" enough it will become the actual root of the problem.

I'm just happy that someone understands it.

None of this is meant to imply that SE has written perfect server software, but the issue at hand has nothing to do with that.

Well I would. I would complain about why they decided to set up at a location where you can't get to.

It's as real estate agency's say, location, location and location. S-E didn't bother to check if the location they setup shop at could handle it. Most likely they only considered the cost.

Wasn't aware of the Level3 issue and after running some tests I came away with the exact same results and had packet loss. This would definitely explain why people get random periods where an ability simply hits them out of the blue when everything was going fine. This is definitely an issue that will cause problems for countless players and I can understand using a VPN in this case to stabilize the connection.

Unfortunately for players, until Level3 get their act together, we will suffer packet loss and a slightly unstable connection without a VPN. I apologize for any rudeness on my behalf earlier, with all the facts present it is clear that a VPN is currently a good option. However, this still doesn't change the fact that SE is not wholly responsible for the current circumstances and under normal operation a VPN would cause very little, if any change.

I made a thread about this a month or two back. Same result here as it was there.

SE will sadly never make thjeir own VPN, nor make servers in EU (though im still wishing upon a star that they will).

Instead of making their own VPN service. SE could strike a deal with for example WTFast. So we the players can either get a reduced cost to the 9.99$ a month WTFast costs or something. This way players feel treated right, WTFast (or other vpn service) gets reputation and customers. And SE will get happier customers. Adn we all know that a happy customer generates new customers.

And i dont care if its netcode this or that. In the bottom line SE is selling a service to us. And some of us get a bad experience in this service. Who is to blame is not of importance to me. But if SE doesnt do anything at all regarding this, they will loose customers. And a negative custommer dont generate new customers.

I honestly don't know why everyone is going to WTFast first. Battleping and Pingzapper are much cheaper and usually give the same results.

If anyone does want to try out a VPN, test all three to see if there is any difference, if not, go with w/e is cheapest. (ie. Pingzapper is $10 for three months instead of WTFast's $10 per month).
