Long bard queues for CT

So i've been trying to get into CT on my bard whos item level is 71 and it takes around an hour or more and when I go to queue on my dragoon whos item level is 83 its a minute or two.
Does item level have anything to do with how fast you get a group or what, they're both DPS so i'm a bit confused why there's such a huge difference

I've tested this a bunch going back and forth from my BRD to DRG and it's the same every time

I don't think this is because it tries to find 2 range 2 melee because i've seen tons of groups with all ranged or all melee who aren't premade

I only play bard at 50 and my queues are usually 40-70 minutes... so I can't really comment, but this opening post isn't very surprising.

I think when they changed the server structure all the queue times took a massive hit... please do something Square?

The over saturation of BRD's in the game is pretty crazy right now, especially in CT. Every CT I've run has at least 2 BRD's per party and every DF and PF I've joined will have one with two or more trying to get in. It seems that there are TOO many BRD's running around. I would imagine Square will either try to make a job similar to BRD (Corsair) in 2.2 or nerf BRD into oblivion so people stop playing it to try to balance the roles.

I don't queue DF when I'm on BRD, the wait times are just too long. It's a shame too. My BRD is ilvl83 and I don't do anything on it as there is always 7 more BRDs trying to get in.

It's more than likely due to so many bards going into CT. I have seen an alliance once in which a party all the damage dealers were Bards xD your ilvl doesn't have to do with it.

I hope so. I play primarily healer and ARC/BRD is my go-to for DPS, but all the DPS bore me. We need another physical ranged DPS.

now that you mention it, I queued on my BRD with my friend's MNK and we got in fairly quickly, while last week, I spent more than hour queueing alone.

I was in a CT group last week, every DPS (the entire raid) was MNK except for 2 summoners.

BRD Is a DPS hence why BRDs have long Queue times. Oh as for the ilvl I don't think it matters I have ilvl86 MNK takes 30-45mins, ilvl82 DRG same, ilvl75 BRD the same and when I got PLD it takes 5secs-45secs (that's with players using withdraw).
