Getting Treasure Maps question

1) Do they reset the timer when Myth/CT reset? I've been sitting in (I forgot name) N. Shroud trying to get the Peisteskin map and after 20 or so tries; no dough. It's weird cause I got the map in 2 or so tries almost everyday when my fisher got to 50. Yes, t's been more than 18 hours since I got my last one. (I got my last one around 11:44 AM EST Sunday) I think I did the math right, I don't know lol.

2) Also, Northern Krill bait in West La Noscea (Forgot place again) is for Boarskin right?

I had the patch notes open, so here ya go:

Upon accessing gathering points at level 40 or above, Disciples of the Land will, on occasion, obtain a timeworn map.

Timeworn Leather Map: Level 40 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes.

Timeworn Goatskin Map: Level 45 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes.

Timeworn Toadskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (South Umbral Isles and Rathefrost only)

Timeworn Boarskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (Reaver Hide and the Tangle only)

Timeworn Peisteskin Map: Level 50 mature trees, lush vegetation patches, mineral deposits, rocky outcrops, and fishing holes (Lake Tahtotl, Parata's Peace, and the North Shards only).

* Timeworn maps cannot be found at unspoiled gathering points or guildleve gathering points.
* Timeworn map locations are not recorded in gathering and fishing logs.
* Upon obtaining a timeworn map, players will be unable to find another for 18 hours (Earth time).
* Timeworn maps can be traded and sold on the market board.

The contents of the treasure chest and the enemy that spawns will vary depending on the type of map.

Timeworn Leather Map: Recommended Level 40 (Solo)
Timeworn Goatskin Map: Recommended Level 45 (Solo)
Timeworn Toadskin Map: Recommended Level 50 (Solo)
Timeworn Boarskin Map: Recommended Level 50 (Solo)
Timeworn Peisteskin Map: Recommende Level 50 (Full Party)

It's random. Sometimes I get it in my first few nodes and other times it takes seemingly forever. That's just how it rolls.

Both boarskin and peisteskin can be caught in Mor Dhona using caddisfly larva bait bought at the Mor Dhona tools vendor next to the repair vendor. For boarskin simply go cast at the tangle, and for peisteskin catch them at norther shards (by the Porus FATE). And they both come with an 18 hour timer. Both are also 100% guaranteed from each respective location.

As far as I can tell, the "reset" is individual and 18 hours after the last one was gathered. I wait at least 18 hours after my last map gather, so I wouldn't know if it's really sooner than that. I use Botanist at Lv50 nodes, and it seems random whether a map appears in the node gather list, and random which map type appears. Early on it appeared after the first few tries but lately it can take many attempts and 5-10 minutes before I see one. If the "wrong" type of map appears, I don't gather it, and another map appears after several more attempts.
