Anyone think this would be an idea if SE can implement.
We are currently a lvl4 FC but i am thinking of merging with a fc that just started out.
It would be nice if we can merge but retain the fc lvl.
Just an idea

Why not just have the new FC quit their's and join yours?
Yeah... that's basically it, otherwise what you would be asking is a name change for FCs, but who knows, those aren't very necessary for now, and they may add them in the future when they add their cash micro-transaction things. Like possible name changes, fantasia, etc.
Well we would merge as i am part of their linkshell which has 100+ players so thinking their fc will grow fast.
Ours atm is only 5 members
Seems like the answer to me. If at the start you have two separate FC's, and at the end only the name and rank of one of those two remains then what exactly is stopping the FC that will no longer exist from just quitting and joining yours?
Leveling it is really easy, so you should not really worry about that. Regardless whichever FC hosts the other is ok, yours can too even if it's only 5 members until now. That's up to you guys to decide, I would decide by name :P And Allegiance.
But as I said, it shouldn't take you long to lvl 1-5/7, specially if it's a lot of members.
You could even create a new one together xD
Might be better to wait depending on how this works out:

Hello,
We realize there are a lot of concerns about not being able to join the Binding Coil of Bahamut without the use of the Duty Finder as well as free companies that have different purposes.
During Letter from the Producer Live IX the other day, Yoshi-P discussed some upcoming features that will help alleviate these concerns. The biggest of which is the implementation of a party member recruitment feature where you can search something like a bulletin board to find and recruit party members with similar goals. This is scheduled to be implemented in patch 2.1 and we will be announcing more details on this feature in the future.
Also, as we've mentioned in the past we will be indicating what item level equipment is required for content in order to participate, so members who wish to participate with you will all be on the same page gear wise.
Finally, in patch 2.2, as we mentioned in a separate post last week, we are planning to implement a free company alliance system, which will let you join your free companies together to see both member lists, share a chat channel, and have other useful features.
We'll be implementing a variety of features moving forward step by step to ensure that everyone can play comfortably and easily in the content that they wish to participate in.
I had forgotten about that, thank you.Might be better to wait depending on how this works out:

Oh thanks for that info Airget, perhaps i may just hold off.
